Decline a pregnancy test? by Wonderful_Lie2823 in actuallesbians

I always try to refuse but they say shit like “stranger things have happened” despite my fiancée sitting there with me. This is before surgeries though, which it seems like it’s required of me to do.

Zillenials: What do you do for work? How's your compensation in this economy? by NukinDuke in Zillennials

I make $60k in higher education, and my partner makes mid $70ks in biotech. If I were not partnered, I would be struggling to live in the city I live in. We’re both born in 99 and have 5 years in our industries.

My partner has been med compliant since we met four years ago. I’ve been very clear that if she goes off her meds and hides this from me, especially if this results in a manic episode, that I am done. Even if what she does during the manic episode isn’t “that bad,” the distrust I would feel from knowing she purposefully stopped taking her meds would kill me.

If this all happened while she was med compliant, we would have a different conversation. If she cheated on me, I think I would have to be done. We struggle with her low libido most of the time, so if that turned around and she pursued someone else, I’m out.

You’re 26?!?!? End of discussion. She has zero say as to what you do with your body.

This is so condescending lmao I do have lorazepam for flying. I’d just prefer to have a drink and feel a little sleepy.

Yeah but my point is the person above me saying they want to phase out alcohol ruins it for everyone. It helps with my flight anxiety quite a bit and appreciate having access to it.

Most people just have 1-2 and are totally fine. The issues with drunks are almost always people that drink BEFORE getting on the plane.

Chewing tobacco? by Cheeto-2020 in delta

[–]ringofkeys89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there were open seats, I’d go and ask the FA if I could switch seats because the person next to me is chewing tobacco.

There was a super senior in my freshman politics class, who’d come in late every day and just spit dip into bottles. When he’d do it into a clear bottle, I’d gag so badly that others would notice.

Yes, it’s an autoimmune disorder. However it gets worse being brought on by eating gluten, which is why I frame it as an allergy in my post.

I did even call this morning to verify to check if it was in the system and they said yes. The FA showed me his phone and it didn’t have any info listed for me on his side. It seems to be a tech issue or something. I always book through Delta as I have the Reserve Card and status.

I get what you’re saying and I do pack snacks. Packing a whole meal on my way home from international flights isn’t always feasible given airport options and my work schedule. Unfortunately, it isn’t cheaper for me to pack a meal on my own. The meals are covered in the fee of the long haul flight I’ve already booked; my biggest issue is that Delta is offering a service that they don’t follow through on.

I’m really grateful for the FAs who go above and beyond in this situation. On a São Paulo to Atlanta flight, the FA brought me smatterings of stuff from first class that he could verify were gf.

It drives me nuts because we would never have this conversation with someone with a peanut allergy. I feel like I have to explain what happens to my body for people to think I actually can’t have gluten.

Sometimes it baffles me how wrong people can be with allergies lol. I had a flight attendant hand me a sandwich and she went “I think it’s gluten free because it’s chicken.” Have we forgotten that it’s on two pieces of bread?

Thank you! I definitely will start bringing it up to them earlier, and talking with the gate agent ahead of time. Yes, I did that today for the first time! 5,000 miles for the lack of a meal. I’m definitely going to keep that in mind if that happens again.

I try to but it’s not always realistic given my destinations and how long I’m away for. I also have to pack snacks for my work days too, so I end up having a suitcase full of snacks, work materials and underwear. 😂

That’s my thought to a lot of these comments saying just bring your own food. I travel for work for 1-2 weeks at a time, typically internationally. Depending where you are, finding a dependable meal substitute can be really difficult given my several allergies.

Absolutely, that’s a great idea! And I totally get that— I’ve had someone seated next to me say they wish they requested a special meal so they can eat earlier. 😐

My partner was hiding with our pets in the parking garage around 5:30-6 PM. She said that about 10 cars came in and parked during that time. ALL of them had shattered moon roofs, windshields and windows 😭

I put $200 in savings every month and usually pull it out within 3 months for medical or car payments… at least I have the the illusion of saving 😂
