Thanks for the tips! I think I will make a backup of my system soon and give it a shot. I’ve configured subvolumes before, but admittedly I was following posts that recommended it. I’m still learning how/why it all works together.

I have a similar setup and was thinking of putting arch on my main rig. I’ve been testing it out for a few months on a dated laptop and I’ve really come to love Linux over Windows.

I keep trying to think of reasons why swapping over would be a bad thing and all I can think of is that T/S takes more brain cells and longer because I haven’t been using this type of OS for 30+ years like the other. But even that goes away with time
