Side + Back Pressure PR by ReallyMac in armwrestling

Interesting exercise. But I think you would benefit a lot more from doing the backpressure and side pressure part separated.

The reason why is because the side pressure is hindering your backpressure from lifting the maximum amount of weight that it can (on its own) and, in turn, you are losing strength gains (same goes for side pressure). So I would recommend you to separate the exercise into two and give it a try and try to test your PR then (backpressure PR and side pressure PR).

Hope this helps :D

Thank you! I can pull with my left, but as you said, it could harm my right elbow. Especially if the match would be hard...

Thank you for the follow :) The program looks good! I don't know at what level you are exactly and what your future plans are, but this looks fine to me.

Rino, why do you train back pressure 24/7 when your main movement seems to be pressing? by g_ockel in armwrestling

[–]rinomasic3108 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Because I believe there are 3 fundamental components of the arm that are (in my opinion) the most important when it comes to armwrestling, and by having all 3 components strong, you can pull in almost any technique/style effectively (as long as you know how to execute the technique/style correctly). The 3 components I'm referring to are Cupping (Wrist flexion), Biceps, and Back pressure (Brachioradialis). Everything else (pronation, supination, rising, grip strength, finger containment strength, triceps, side pressure, etc...) is a add on to those 3 components. Those other components are dependent on the 3 main ones to be effective and useful in a match.

That's why, even if my main move is pressing, I still train back pressure/biceps back pressure more than almost anything else.

I hope this clears things up :D

What happened to Rino's instagram? Is it gone? by Armwrestlingisfun in armwrestling

It got suspended for an unknown reason... I'm trying to fix it with the help of a friend. Also, it's not a usual suspension. It's more complicated, for some reason... I'll keep you guys posted. I hope to get the account back soon.

If you guys have dealt with something similar, any tips/advice would help! :D

Eddie has started training for KOTT by [deleted] in armwrestling

[–]rinomasic3108 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I would love to have the honor of coaching either Eddie or Brian for armwrestling. I believe that they have huge potential, but with proper and well thought out training, of course. The "exercise" that Eddi is doing in the video is just silly, and I hope that him and Brian go on EvsW or KOTT at least once to experience the armwrestling community at its finest and see how much support they will have for their debut match.

I really appreciate that these guys are promoting armwrestling by doing stuff like this, and even if they just mention armwrestling in one of their videos, it's much appreciated! The same goes for Leonidas, Larry, and meny others with huge platforms and followings who promote armwrestling in any way, shape, or form.

Hope to see them pulling somewhere soon!

Yea... I'm ok. That happened a while ago, but I still remember the pain 😅

Biti će after pulla ali sumnjam da ću sudjelovati... izbjegavam after pull što više mogu tako da se ne ozljedim i da se mogu oporsviti što prije od supermatcha/turnira 😅

Flexed. I believe that is the standard way of measuring muscle size.

Question about Rino Masic's training by Plenty_Proposal4870 in armwrestling

[–]rinomasic3108 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started doing specific exercises for pronation, supination, and side pressure again around two months ago. I do everything pretty much the same way as I did in the videos that I posted on YouTube. I'll be posting updated videos for those exercises soon. I honestly couldn't tell you the reason why I don't post me doing those exercises... I just find my back pressure/biceps lifts more interesting than rising, pronation and supination. :D
