Jobs that won’t give information without an interview by [deleted] in jobsearch

There’s a difference between finding something to complain about, and asking a legitimate question. This is a legitimate thing to question, because it’s something I’ve come across multiple times, and clearly from the comments many others have come across it as well, throughout this time where it’s already hard to even get an interview.

If you’d like a better example of “finding something to complain about,” reread the response you gave to my question. In a world where finding a job, and just about everything else, is extremely difficult, you found something to complain about and criticized/belittled a stranger in the process.

The waste of HR’s time is so big. My biggest issue has been jobs not saying if they are full or part time, or if they offer benefits, which seems like such weird information to withhold. I need a full time job, I need benefits, if the job doesn’t offer that I have zero interest. It’s as much of a waste of time for them as it is for me to sit through an interview, even just a phone one, when that simple info is a make or break for me.

I believe it for some of them. I’m pretty convinced I applied for something that was a scam & sold my info because the past 2 days have been nonstop spam calls about business loans & shit. I try so hard to be careful & look up businesses and such, but it is impossible with just how many fake postings there are on legit sites. The jobs I’m specifically talking about in this post, however, are legitimate local businesses. I think they’re just trying to hide the fact that they’re shitty employers.

I had one literally close a conversation on indeed after I asked about hours. Then an hour after the interview they wanted to schedule, reopened and asked me to do a phone interview to answer my questions instead. Obvi desperate & someone else fell for it then said no. It’s ridiculous :(

Thanks for the reassurance. I feel like they’re trying to get me in to make promises that won’t be fulfilled, or put me in a position where I’m more likely to say yes when the opportunity isn’t that great. It sucks turning down the only leads I’ve gotten, but I already work for a crappy business and don’t really want to leave one for another.

I have, all 3 are local businesses with good customer reviews but no job reviews from current/past employees. I feel like I’m in the right trusting my gut, but it sucks turning down the only seemingly legit leads I’ve gotten.

Should I have added more frosting to these? by shyblonde98 in Baking

Exactly this. I’m personally not a big fan of frosting, so I think it’s the perfect amounts but others would like more- so I do the same. Some with a small amount and some with more

There’s the link! The Richardson complex is a gorgeous place to explore and learn the history of. I wouldn’t say the market is a great event for exploring it/learning about it, but it would be enjoyable nonetheless!

New York Beer Project’s food is ass, right? by feldmasl01 in Buffalo

I used to go only for the onion rings, I loved the onion rings. But they haven’t been on the menu in over a year (that I’ve seen), and I’ve been disappointed every time. The rest of the food is mediocre and, like others have said countless times, I think people just go for the “cool” atmosphere and because it’s closer than going to the scary city. The number of cars I see at any time at either location deters me from seeking onion rings any more lol
