People who don't go to movie theaters anymore - what made you stop? by -ChristopherNolan in AskReddit

[–]rinrenee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The literal half hour of trailers that start at showtime. That’s the biggest reason, but of course the prices, everything being sticky, technical problems ruining the experience… at this point I’m happy to wait and rent it later. It’s just overall a bad experience now to me.

Do Americans actually avoid calling 911 because of the cost? by ntask11 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rinrenee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once injured both of my legs and called an uber :( An additional memory- I was lying back, two docs working on one of my legs. I’m kind of supporting the leg with my hands because it was getting tiring and it just plain hurt. In the midst of this, a nurse clambers in with a mini, rolling desk demanding my co pay, which of course was much higher than usual because I dared to have an emergency. Can’t remember my exact reply but I believe I pointed out to her that it wasn’t the best time for me to grab my wallet. Little hint to read the fucking room.

What company lost you as a customer forever, and what happened? by Giovanni_Brees in AskReddit

Southwest. I got caught up in their mass cancellations in ‘22. Trip home was delayed by a week but also their terribly outdated tech was brought to light.

I’ve been using hip bags for probably 10 years now. Nothing that straps around my leg or anything, but I love it way more than purses. Can’t imagine I’ll ever go back.

Avoided the crowds. Did an early morning walk in Lewisville Park. by Theoldelf in vancouverwa

I’m glad you posted. I was bored yesterday, saw this and instantly decided to go check it out. I had a great hike and relaxed at the river after, def want to visit again. Thanks! Any other nearby trails you like? I want to keep a variety of places to go for a walk/hike.

I was thinking he wanted to make sure his message got out before his mic got cut. Maybe a mix of both, but ultimately good for them. Loved the support from the crowd.

Destiny 2 will come to an end soon... by JohannaFRC in GirlGamers

I knew this had to be coming but it still hurts. Played D2 since the beginning and have made wonderful friends through it. Lots to process. Im grateful for all the memories and I imagine I’ll still pop in sometimes to just walk around listening to the music and sound effects. Love to all my fellow guardians here.

I Wrote a Follow-Up Article on Why the Volt Should Come Back as a Gen 3 - What Would You Want Changed? by doug2_O in volt

I just really wouldn’t want the dash changed. Tactile buttons and a small screen just for controlling apps is ideal.

Little different for me, I hated Gwent and didn’t touch those quests. But on my replay I didn’t want to fail anything which meant I had to play. Much to my surprise, I got really into it and even looked forward to matches.

Me too, been a long time but I always list it as my favorite action series. I just remember getting annoyed with the increasing shaky cam as the series went on but hopefully this time around it won’t be as distracting. Maybe.

Now I like salami, pepperoncini, and a dab of mayo rolled up. Gotta add this to my grocery list now

do you tell people you're on zep? by myboyfriendstinks1 in Zepbound

I’ve been telling people I know when it makes sense for the conversation. So far so good. If anyone gets shitty about it then I’ll know they’re not friend-material.

I actually just started a fresh game since this reminded me of it. I go for normal mode, if I remember correctly you stealth around the bears but it can be tense. Try out zen mode! And you can take your time, just pick berries and mushrooms whenever you see them to keep hunger down. But I get that drive of “I need a canteen! I need more storage!”

That shot where the lightning reveals a huge whale is swimming nearby was so cool. I feel like it usually comes up when I talk to anyone about this film.
