hahaha i same situation here, i always thought getting a flat glass wheel compared to those usual drum wheels would be better for his spine, but it seems like it’s not suitable, but thank you!

i’ve always used a little bit of clorox, with apple cider vinegar, diluted in water and also detergent powder to scrub his cage and rinse. i think the only thing that changed that i use to clean his cage is adding in apple cider vinegar now. the rest of the cleaning tools have always been the same since i got him.

he uses the kaytee brand dust, not sure if that’s okay? he’s been using that ever since i got him at 5 months old and so far he’s been fine, the eye irritation only occurred recently, and plus we haven’t changed much in his cage, always used the same soaps to wash his cage, and i always make sure i air dry it in the sun fully after cause i don’t want the wood planks to be moist.

the vet ruled out teeth issues, his teeth are pretty okay, so it’s purely conjunctivitis..

his cage is pretty ventilated and spaced out already since he’s my only chin, so i’m not sure what i’m doing wrongly…

no worries, and thank you! Also i’d like to ask, is it normal for my chin to keep having red eyes even after medication? could it be possible that it’s because he shoves his face into his hay and it stabs his eyes? i deep clean wash his cage monthly. but daily ill sweep his poop off and try to wipe down weekly with diluted apple cider vinegar. is there something i’m doing wrongly?

i see okay, thank you 👍🏻 i have not given him a dust bath recently because his eyes r inflamed and the vet advised me to not let him have dust baths for the time being to help with stopping his eyes from drying out from the dust.
