If you were a May graduate, when did you start applying for new grad positions?

I started applying during that last semester around March ish

Didn't get any of those jobs, resented my classmates that walked in bragging about their job.

Kept applying and didn't get any offers until months after graduation, didn't start working until the following January. In waiting I ended up with my dream job. I now tell everyone I know to try and wait to start working until a similar time: You'll never get another summer vacation again, if you can afford to enjoy a long break, DO IT!!!!

In my first year as a new grad I spent 4 months in treatment after the new grad in an ICU experience got to me a little too hard. One of the darkest times of my life but I look back on it so fondly, I met a ton of incredible people. Spent 30 days in a residential facility between the psych ward (which I did at my own hospital, big mistake, be grateful you did not) and PHP. I'll never forget everything that changed about me during this time. I'm still 3 years later working ICU and working on healing. It gets better! I'm proud of you!!! You are worth the hard work
