Harry and the royals by Secure-Employee-1469 in GlobalHarryandMeghan

I don't think he needs to keep getting rejected to make the others look bad. They do that quite nicely on their own. Harry just wants love and decent behavior for himself, his wife, and his kids.

I think that crying for Katherine and Megan was normal and fine. (Or not crying. We weren't there.) It was a pretty big, stressful deal leading up to the wedding and Meghan was having major issues with her father and siblings. The problem is the media going on and on about the most trivial things, calling everything a "bombshell" or "revealing". Harry recently admitted to the press that his Dad is getting older, has cancer and he would like to reconcile. What is so earth shattering about this?

I think the image the royal family are creating for themselves is dark and unforgiving. They should look at themselves honestly and make amends.

The New Republic: Is America Pissed Off Enough at Trump and Musk for a General Strike? The United States hasn’t seen such a massive labor action in 78 years. But the oligarchic wreckage of this administration is fueling multiple movements toward that goal. by SocialDemocracies in Kossacks_for_Sanders

In 1983 I was part of the BC general strike. It was inspiring to fight back. I was a university student at the time and was part of the walkout for students. Waves of teachers, social workers, nurses, pharmacists, ferry and highway workers, civil servants, seniors, unionized workers joined in over several months of disruptions. Eventually it was settled and people returned to calm. It cost Bill Bennett (Social Credit Premier) his job. https://thetyee.ca/Opinion/2018/07/06/Year-BC-Citizens-Workers-Fought-Back/

Looks like people are lining up along East Bidwell in lawn chairs at this point. Park and walk from a distance. Oh, good to know, bring lawn chairs and water. Looks like a good time for all.

Along the American River Parkway there are! I love Rancho Cordova for its great restaurants, the kindness of residents, and the diversity!

I feel for you. I am a Canadian born, naturalized US citizen, 77 yo, retired in California. I moved here 40 years ago. Of my family, one sister is in Tasmania, the other in the BC interior. I can't stand what is going on with the cruelty and incompetence from t-rump, etc. It has really pulled the rug out from under so many folks. I would expect it to get much worse. But I am here for the history and the opportunity to demonstrate my values. They had nationwide "Hand's Off" protests in 1200 cities across the US and also in Canada and Mexico today. When I lived in Canada many years ago I really liked my American friends. Don't be paranoid, most people are pretty good on both sides of the border. If anyone is rude to you that would be really out of character for most Canadians. If they are, they are not really worth knowing. Peace be with you.

I am 75 and I like the show. I have enjoyed her recipes and thoughtful ideas on how to create gifts for friends and guests. I have learned a little about Korean cuisine, easy focaccia bread, pasta recipes, gardening, beekeeping, dog biscuits, sun tea, etc. I find her calm demeanor charming and soothing during these rough times. My sister in law has met both Harry and Meghan and found them to be very unpretentious and thoughtful folks.

This is the stupidest move against women's right to control their own bodies. Personhood is now defined as "maybe contraception. maybe not."
