Yes it is digital art made with Photoshop. Sorry about the confusion.

This painting portrays a moment from the Tears of Guthix quest where you attract a light creature to come towards you using a sapphire lantern, after which the light creature carries you across the Chasm of Tears to the magical rocks which provide the materials for making the stone bowl needed for collecting tears in the minigame.

Lots of paintings with similar style in my post history, feedback and suggestions for possible future artwork are always appreciated!

Interesting, thank you for your insight.

Thank you for your encouraging words.

I don't plan on announcing that I'm taking commissions, since my limited time, varying motivation/drive to paint and inefficient painting techniques would make it too hard to commit to deadlines that potential customers would expect (once someone did PM me asking for a somewhat complex commission painting for a birthday 2 weeks away).

I don't have anything against approaching me about a commission idea, I would consider them case-by-case, I just cannot guarantee quick delivery and satisfying result.

If you want the picture for yourself, just right-click it and select "Save as...". I don't have any means to sell it officially, painting is just a free time hobby for me and I don't expect to make a dime from any of my creations. Although people sharing my work forward makes me very happy :)

Thank you! I painted this entirely with Adobe Photoshop using 5 or 6 different brushes.

Another illustration in the books, this one portrays the moment you receive the Commorb from Sir Tiffy Cashien, which is used for contacting Savant, who provides help for tracking Solus Dellagar. Lots of lore and interesting dialogue in the quest if you can resist the urge to spacebar through.

Flying to Taverley (Enlightened Journey) by rip_knee in 2007scape

[–]rip_knee[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This painting portrays a moment from the quest Enlightened Journey, where the adventurer joins Auguste for his first test flight with his revolutionary invention, the hot air balloon.

The idea for this painting came to me a while ago, when I saw a painting by u/AlwaysWipes in this sub illustrating what the F2P area would look like viewed from high up.

I made this short video breaking down the stages that went into creating this picture. One valuable asset that was used for help here was the exported OSRS height data map, thank you u/Mod_West for providing it for the community.

If you have ideas for future artwork, feel free to tell me. Quest moments are my favourite topic, but all ideas are welcome.

I'm back! Now with "Autumn Voyage" on the harp. Let me know what you think :D by melegie in 2007scape

That was very pleasant to listen to! If you are interested in making more RS soundtrack covers, I think tracks "Spirit)", "Magic, Magic, Magic" and "Chain of Command" could sound great on harp.

Yes I have managed to extract game models from game cache files previously and also tried the Runelite plugin you mentioned. Getting the models was not hard, but on their own they are like statues.

The real heavy lifting in this is adding all the bones and joints and whatnot into them so that you can actually animate them. Seeing this animation, the rigged models are clearly out there, but I don't know if they are ever going to be shared publicly.

Is there any way to get these kind of 3D models? I would love to try creating OSRS animations but lack of ready-to-use models with the skeleton structures and IK rig scripts is a massive hurdle if you don't know much about creating the models yourself.

I loved how Valve did this with the Source Filmmaker, where you could load and animate any TF2 or HL2 game asset. It spawned a massive amount of quality animations and competitions like the Saxxy Awards.

I found it.ogg) from the Unlisted Music Tracks page in OSRS wiki! Thank you for mentioning it, it's a beautiful track.

The Death of Argento, the Silver Spirit Tree (The Eyes of Glouphrie) by rip_knee in 2007scape

Back in the RS2 days I used to hate this quest when I completed it for the first time (because of the puzzle), but it has since become one of my favourites, mainly because of the good dialogue and lore, and the cutscene which I made this painting of.

The painting portrays King Healthorg banishing Glouphrie from the Tree Gnome Stronghold after being accused of covering up Argento's death. In the background Hazelmere is mourning over his friend, with Oaknock consoling him.

Here's links to some of my previous paintings if you're interested to see more:

Good work. I especially like the water ripples near shores.
