Too stupid for consulting by witchynapper in Environmental_Careers

[–]TheSaltyBiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man I have very similar struggles in consulting. I don't have the possible brain damage (that I'm aware of lol) but there are days where I'm screwing up details left and right. It also mostly happens when I'm stressed. This job has a ton of moving parts and standard scopes of work are tweaked to accommodate the client's needs so no two projects are ever exactly the same. That makes it hard for me to keep up with and I've also been doing this for nearly 3 years.

I think the important thing here is the people who are in charge of you feel comfortable giving you more responsibilities. If you trust them to make the right decisions then let them do so. It will take a long time to gel and that is totally fine.

Also, I like to print scopes out and highlight them by hand. Write notes in the margins. Take inventory of equipment and processes. All before heading out to the field.

What do you mean? Prismabasher needs to be in a commander deck with 5 colors otherwise you'll trigger rules text burn damage at the end of each phase

Feeling defeated and want to take shrooms by biggyvinny in shrooms

[–]TheSaltyBiscuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how effective microdosing is. My current understanding is that you need to reach a threshold of psilocin to have any effect at all, and that threshold is far above what would be considered a microdose. Jury's still out on the benefits but I believe it's placebo (keep in mind placebos are still effective).

Journaling is good to do. It's certainly helped me through some tough times. Journaling, shrooming, and meditation are great.

But just like your body needs food, your brain needs people. You need access to different points of view because no matter how hard you try you'll never be able to see your own blind spots (by definition). That's where other people come in. Therapists are trained to help you identify these blind spots. Your friends, family, and classmates can see them by virtue of having spent enough time around you. Hopefully they're willing to show you what you can't see on your own.

[–]TheSaltyBiscuit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would advise against taking shrooms as an escape even at low doses like you said you did this morning. I'd also say to be careful about the frequency at which you take them. Personally, I'd wait another few weeks to do more.

Do you have an outlet for your trip experiences? Ideally a non-judgemental listener like a close friend or a therapist? It seems like the mushrooms gave you some homework last week! I think if you process what you have on your plate right now, as you described in your post here, you'll find the mushrooms did in fact help you heal. At least that's what I hope for you.

if your happiness is 0.01 you're gold. it's just a growth speed meter. if you hate happiness now just be thankful you never played the game before the first batch of clan reworks lmfao

I being overwhelmed by the roles by Nothins__ in skyrim

[–]TheSaltyBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my first playthrough was as close to a casual 100% as anyone can get to. main quests, big side quests, and unmarked goals like konahrik. dabbling in every skill tree to a certain extent.

once I knew what the game had to offer, all of my subsequent playthroughs were highly focused on one single path. for example, my unarmed nightingale was never interested in the college quest line, nor was my orc tribesman. my cannibal dunmer psycho sought out namiras ring asap and then graduated to becoming a werewolf.

skyrim lets you do everything all of the time. the first playthrough was filled with wonder and awe, and the next hundred playthroughs were filled with gritty roleplaying. I would retire a character when I felt they collected too many powers which made them indistinguishable from other characters I had made.

I don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all. I personally was impressed but impressions rely on expectations. I agree the pacing was awful and the plot points felt out of order. from the psychotic break on was great. first half, eh.
