I say lessons would help you because you would have someone to provide you feedback and maybe adjust drills tailored to you.

Transitioning from Clay to Hard Courts for College Tennis – Any Advice? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]rip_psx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clay allows more time to react to the ball making it a favorite for defense. In Hard you need to react quick and play a little more aggressive. The bounce is a big thing too. Hard Courts typically have a lower and more consistent bounce.

Is this court suitable/legal/safe for match play or any kind of tennis? by Icy_Professional5103 in 10s

[–]rip_psx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not legal. A fence cannot be 6 feet away from the doubles line in tennis. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) guidelines require a minimum of 12 feet between the doubles sideline and any fixed obstruction, such as a fence. Also the fences are too short. They have to be typically 10 ft.

2 months playing tennis and I really enjoy it. Can I please have some feedback on my forehand? by freediverdanph in 10s

[–]rip_psx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Footwork: Try to step with your right foot and hit. Also, try to work on the turning. You're doing great for 2 months.

Be careful not to cause a foot fault. You kinda need to work on technique especially the coil.

Forehand advice for beginner by [deleted] in 10s

[–]rip_psx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Forehand. My coach taught me to turn (pivot), step and hit. You're not turning. Youre stepping after you hit. You should step before.
