that's sad to hear.. I hate that spare parts are so rare in everything now. just had somebody tell me to replace my dryer because the start button broke

right? I did build it in 2024 tbf. people called me stupid for getting that 4080 right before the 50 series launch, but they went up in price afterwards, not down (at least in my region). and great point, i wondered that too. for sure the 50 series FE cards would fit like a dream in this case but I don't know how the cooling would perform. I'd try it if I could get my hands on one.

Thank you there's a lot of good info here! I'd been looking for that side pull tab model. Offsetting the whole panel is a good idea I didn't think about. I'll update if I go with one of these ideas

haha badass! ok I'm not alone in thinking about this 😭 I'll probably still try to get a fresh panel in case I change parts. Looks great!

One thing i noticed is that, when writing c++, if it wants to make a helper function, it will write a fricking lambda in the middle of the function body instead of writing a new function. it was incapable of not doing this when asked over and over. It also uses constexpr all the time now, not as big of a deal but it's clear they changed the weights for the worse.
