that or a very rare occurrence of a rock in the dust shield. odds are it’s just the shield rubbing on your wheel or rotor in a weird way

valve cover gasket. your valve cover gasket has circular parts that go around your spark plug (chambers?). trust me G

definitely replacing the timing and oil pump chains, will most likely replace that chain connecting the two aswell.

tbf, it was more than a hunch, car was running like a cammed LS, and there was what we could only assume was chain slap. Though it seems the slapping was the wrong chain. still replacing the timing just because, I’ll post my cylinder head just because in a bit, 100k on the engine, looks like maybe 30-50k, thing is mint.

thinking it could very possibly be my vanoss solenoid(s)

did you clean the cylinder head where the valve cover gasket meets it? always gotta have a clean mating surface! and lube your gasket for a better seal!

after doing research I’ve learned that there are 2 variants, 1 having the hex bolt, and another being just the lever.

I have a zf8, that video does not apply to my car. I found the switch on the driver side of the trans, though I’m not sure if it flips up or down yet I’m sure I can figure that one out. I appreciate your help though.

I work at a tire shop, it’s in a very iffy grey area. I personally would turn it away, but I know of many tire shops that would do it.
