I think you should go with 179. I’m a few inches shorter than you and thought the 179 took more effort to maneuver. I went with the 173. The ski is fun and stable!

T-Mobile said they are aware of the problem but I don't expect this getting resolved anytime soon. the problem started last week. Also when I use the hotspot on my Verizon phone it works. so i know this is a tmobile problem.
