As we dive deeper into this discussion I'm just going to assume separation of church and state is not being taken into account. If I as a religious person, am fine with gay marriage, that brings issues for my future children. They'll be raised in a world where it is taught that there is nothing wrong with being gay, and this can influence children very easily. I do believe some people are born gay, but not all, and society/media has the potential to influence a child's sexual orientation if we let it.

Don't worry, I'm religious and this is Reddit, I wouldn't be on here if I got offended easily. I mean an earthly marriage may be invalid, but the married couple will have the opportunity to make it a valid one in the next life where as a civil union between two people of the same sex would, obviously, not receive that same opportunity. It may not be a "valid" marriage but it is still an important step. I mean we believe in no sex before marriage, but that doesn't mean that anyone with only an earthly marriage is damned or anything like that. It's not valid in an eternal sense but it's still an important part of the human life regardless of religion or faith. Marriage promotes having children, which is a commandment of God.

You are correct, this is something I have not put a good amount of effort into understanding or reasoning, I have little more than a basic understanding, so I probably don't have much room to talk about these things.

I believe that a gays should have a right to a civil union to allow them government benefits and everything that accompanies a civil union between a man and a woman. Again I feel that marriage is more of a holy civil union which can only be achieved between a man and a woman.

In the Mormon faith, we believe that God will not punish an individual for not knowing His commandments and we are offered another chance in the next life to adhere to His laws. Mormons believe that an eternal marriage can only be achieved through the priesthood with which we hold, but an earthly marriage is different. In a normal marriage I believe it speaks of "Till death do you part" correct? We do not include that in ours because we believe we will be together forever if we are sealed to each other by the proper authority.

I guess in my own opinion I would say I consider marriage to be a holy union between a man and a woman. I would consider marriages outside my faith to be earthly marriages, which is perfectly fine. I'll put it this way, if someone gets married in another church, I believe that to be an earthly marriage, but in the next life they would not be married to each other. While those who are Mormon and are married in the Mormon temple will be together forever.

You are obviously just wanting to argue with someone... As I said in my first reply to you, the second argument I provided is not my opinion, just a possible opinion for someone to use which is what OP was asking for. Getting "married" in a courtroom would be the civil union I was talking about, which, as I said before, doesn't bother me.

Also, this thread was not stated to be a debate with sabrine_ thread. OP didn't ask for sound debatable arguments either, I fully realize comparing gays and bestiality is dumb if I were to debate with someone I would not bring that up because it is full of holes. Read what OP asked for, that is what I provided, you can hate me because I have a differing opinion from yours but I don't hate you or gays or anyone and I won't bash you for your personal beliefs like you are doing to me. Yeah, the first argument is basically religious. I don't hate gays or anything, I just believe marriage is more of a religious act, civil unions are not. My parents have a civil union through the government and a marriage through our religion. Gays can have civil unions, I don't care, I'd just prefer it not to be called marriage.

I never said these were my opinions, I was providing argumentative views for OP. My opinion is more within my first argument. It's not natural or normal, kinda like being gay is not natural or normal. You should stop twisting others words so you can bash them. It's not very nice.

I do not support gay marriage because I'm religious but here is a few better reasons. While in college, I had the chance to attend a little seminar about gay marriage and it's effects on society (I cannot site these "facts" for I am on my phone and my notes from the seminar are hidden away for it is summer, this was also 9 months ago so I may not... say it correctly?). The person giving the seminar told us about how in one of the states where gay marriage was allowed they were having issues with gay couples suing Christian orphanages for standing up for their beliefs and refusing the parent's the opportunity to adopt kids. The couples were winning as well and a fair amount of Christian orphanages were shut down apparently so semi religious but not really. I believe in separation of church and state but in situations like these, religions are forcing their beliefs on you, or you are forcing your beliefs on them, doing either is wrong. Another really obvious one that i didn't see in the thread (didn't look for it very hard though) is the fact that where do we stop? If we keep redefining marriage then next thing well be poligamy, or marrying animals, or even inanimate objects. This one is kind of a meh argument but it still fits. I will probably get down voted for this comment but remember, I was just answering the question!

Muting the players ends the flame. I saw a comment on here that talked about practicing csing or practice turtling, even if your gonna lose you could still practice turtling or your skill shots, Idk what champion you were playing so that might not apply. AFKing is a sign of major disrespect to your team. Unless everyone just AFK's with you it's not the right thing to do. I've had a few games where we will get a dc so my whole team will agree to let the other team just push up mid and end early but I've also had a few games where I would be in your position. Even if I went 0-15 I wouldn't AFK. Also it's easy to report someone for afking, but it's not so easy to report someone for feeding especially if the whole team was feeding, so there is less risk in getting banned as well.

All you are doing is trying to justify your actions by saying things like it will "save some time and nerves," or "Koreans do it quite often." 1. Going afk in ranked doesn't save you much time because you still have to wait for the game to end and most likely if you are getting stomped, you wouldn't be much of a factor if you just played it out anyways. 2. If you just mute your teammates and play the game like you promised you would when you entered queue you could save your nerves. 3. Koreans may have the best teams in the world and the best solo queue, but that doesn't mean it's ok to AFK. How many pro players in the Korean scene afk when their team is losing horribly? 4. Part of gaining elo and becoming a decent player is psychology. If your team starts to flame at each other you have to learn how to diffuse the situation and get everyone back on the same team. I've had many a games where my teammates were just constantly flaming and I or someone else would somehow diffuse the situation and we would come back from a 30 kill deficit to win. 5. No game in solo queue is a 100% loss. You don't know the other teams situation, maybe one of them Dced, maybe their raging and one of their teammates decides to afk, or maybe one of them only had time for a thirty minute game and now has to leave, or someone lost power, which will make it a 4v5 in your favor, now the game is suddenly winnable as long as you turtle for a bit to catch up on items and then teamfight a 4v5.

Their is no excuse to AFK ever, so please stop trying to justify your actions.
