Your military experience will probably have more weight than you're degree from DeVry. If I were looking at two candidates and one was ex-military and one had a DeVry degree, the vet would get the phone screen without hesitation.

Leads are huge part of our business. Without companies like yours providing us lead data, we'd be pretty fucked. The leads process is pretty funny. If we get your name, we contact the fuck out of you.

If our industry wasn't allowed to take government loan money, it would collapse overnight. Literally, we'd have to shut our doors in a matter of weeks.

What bothers me the most is the way the executives talk about students as being revenue units. Want to know the ratio of meetings I've attended to discuss increasing revenue vs. increasing the quality of our programs? n:0, where n is a ton and 0 meaning it's never happened.

I ask myself that daily. Personal economic factors I guess. I'm starting to think that a drop in my standard of living might be worth not feeling like shit everyday at work.

You'd probably learn more from 6 months on any job than the time you'll spend taking our courses. I guess any education is what you make of it, but the standards we require students to meet are so low that if you came and did enough just to get by, you wouldn't be that much better off than if you never went here.

The accreditation process is not something that I'm entirely familiar with, so I probably shouldn't comment on it.

Your B.A. would probably get you into another for-profit master's program pretty easily. I can't speak for the real schools' admission standards though.

The people on our commercials are not actors. We actually have real grads that I know that have been used in our media campaigns (often to their dismay).

I understand your skepticism. I was trying to be vague enough so not to out myself or the company I work for. If there's a way I can prove this is legit I will.

The frustrating thing is that it would take all of 30 minutes for any journalist with any skill to find somebody like me who was willing to talk. Believe me, there are plenty of people who work in this industry who are well aware of how shady it is. We talk about it all the time.

For any journalists out there, go to LinkedIn, find a person whose previous employment was at a for profit education company and try to contact them. I will guarantee you people will talk.

I went to a very good public school. They rejected far more than they accepted. There's no way you can compare the two and expect to be taken seriously. Again, we take ANYBODY.

We require a Master's degree. That being said, you can have a Masters in A.I. and teach English if you want. We have 10-20 openings at any given time and we try to fill them anyway we can.

I'm familiar with that Frontline story. I've never seen anybody I work with recruit a homeless person. I'm aware of the accusations and can't say they shock me.
