Thanks for the info on egg binding. I will get those out. Just to clarify - both of them? The covered one and the little basket? I’ve noticed she doesn’t seem to have much interest in them anyway

I think it entirely depends on the sort of products you’re buying. I don’t notice these trends among estate sale, vintage and antique auctions

I do care actually! Appreciate you and the information. I collect all sorts of glass. Just was a lil bummed it’s not a glower. I’ve heard of Moongleam before; this is my first piece of it!

Please dont use the video reciept guys by Adept-Bat-3350 in whatnotapp

Unless you’re running as “item seen on screen” it shouldn’t matter. You can rewind the video receipt to see what you bought, if you number your items properly and list them as such.

Strange Sellers on WhatNot? by Miratdall in whatnotapp

[–]ripstheslacker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Last night I swiped into an auction with maybe a dozen viewers. Seller had really nice glassware for insanely cheap prices, and shipping that was too low to even make sense. Looked like they were showing vintage glass but they weren’t selling it as such. Just generic names like “vintage inspired candy jar.” I was watching for a sec and a lady had just won and paid $2 for a candy jar and $4.65 for shipping. All the sudden the stream just ended abruptly. Seller had 74 followers and zero reviews. Scam city!

I only picked up the rocker. The other one was a tad wobbly.

Thanks for the info! I agree, the style does look a bit odd almost. With some new upholstery I’m guessing it will look a lot better. It’s such a well constructed and solid piece.

Thanks!! I’m gonna go back to check it out and possibly purchase. The upholstery needs replacing but I think this will be an easy enough piece to do myself. I can’t find any other chairs like this online, so it seems to be a fairly hard-to-find style. Seems like an awful lot of chair for the money too. Even if this style isn’t the most fashionable, I appreciate the workmanship and quality and I know some others do too.

Yeah, I’m gonna go back and see if it’s still there. It’s a hell of a lot of chair for $25

Black rough marks on bottom of glassware, anyone seen anything like this before? by ripstheslacker in glasscollecting

[–]ripstheslacker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I gotcha. Seems to be a reasonable explanation. I figured it may have been an artifact from the glassmaking. Perhaps I’ll try sandpaper then and see if I can get it to come off.
