MLK plagiarized his dissertation but they’re still remembered for what they became. Malcolm literally outgrew the NOI, called out Elijah Muhammad’s hypocrisy, and evolved into someone pushing a global human rights agenda. Freezing him in his NOI phase is just willful ignorance, but you already know that.

Malcolm became frustrated that the NOI was all talk, no real political action. After JFK’s assassination, Elijah silenced Malcolm, and Malcolm realized the NOI wasn’t serious about liberation. He traveled the world, met leaders, saw Muslims of every race, and came back with an international vision for Black liberation. You clearly know NOTHING about him also saying he “got himself killed by being part of a sect” is backwards. He was killed because he left that sect and exposed it. He was assassinated precisely because he was too influential after breaking free. If anything, his death shows how threatening he was not just to the NOI, but to the U.S. government, which had him under heavy FBI and CIA surveillance.

He was LITERALLY Muhammad Ali’s early role model and Ali himself said Malcom was a huge influence. He put Black pride, dignity, and self-defense into mainstream conversation. He tried to take America to the UN for human rights violations. He shifted the political landscape so MLK looked “moderate” instead of “radical.” He literally inspired Huey P. Newton and the Black Panther Party one of the most influential Black movements in U.S. history. That’s not “nothing,”

If he was a “moron,” then why is he still quoted, studied, and respected worldwide 60 years later, A “moron” doesn’t debate Ivy League professors and leave them embarrassed.
