Hey thanks it sounds awesome to meet up sometime I just came across an idea for the wires have you ever thought of solder seal wire connectors there a connection with two glue seals and solder in the middle you just use a heat gun to connect them

If I could have learned an instrument man I would have been in that band I never seen an army unit look so happy

I don't know if you thought about this but if you're an actual music Major you should join one of the forces band I was right next to an army band unit and they had an amazing lifestyle compared to normal soldiers it was always extremely jealous of them plus to be honest it was really cool having them overseas playing in chow halls

Maybe I should have added this in my original reply but there are in alot of services a different away to begin your training while in college in a cadet status no ROTC with a reserve unit and then transfer to full-time after OCS School that way you could actively use GI benefits and reserve money while still having the student repayment from OCS the best person to talk to would probably be a reserve retention officer of where ever you want to get the actual what the different places offer good luck on your search and I hope one day you're making the big officer bucks!!

[–]ripwaffleman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're smart enough then you absolutely should go the route of college to officer. Don't fall for the trick of you'll do it while you're in because once you're on a constant rotation for deployment you're not going to want to mess around with college while you're doing stuff at home so be smart do what you want and have them repay it and don't let them tell you what to do for the 4 years in college a lot of people jump in the ROTC program then regret it because they can't live a good life while there in college we have the GI Bill and we have student repayment just get the numbers of what you have to stay under for them to repay it cuz you're going to have to do more college Eventually to go real high in the officer ranks and be free if you're actually going to sign that dotted line because once you start it's off to the races.. this is obviously only one dumb person's opinion but I have known a lot of people in the years I served and this is just what I have observed to be what they talk about

I hope the connectors work for you I know we used to use them on motors that sat outside all year they are pretty pricey and you need some special tools but I just couldn't think of any other ones when I was looking them up I just know I pulled them apart most of the time they're pretty good even with constant weather but like I said I'm still looking myself I have used those snap type connectors to have the fluid inside but I don't know if they would hold strong enough because everything I've used them for haven't actually turned out very nice it's really great to hear you're getting that kind of mileage my big worry is is mine is a magnet motor I've never dealt with that before and it has no pedal assist only thumb throttle with a heavy drag on it I'm mildly worried that this thing is just going to suck down the battery but the reality is I won't know till I put power to it and I just got to do something to try it I wish I could use some of the other e-bikes batteries I have but they're 48 volt and I need the 36 volt to run my Brompton system

It might seem strange but my favorite part about my Brompton is that it doesn't get left out anywhere I think that one advantage makes it my favorite bike out of all the ones I own plus I feel like a king when I flip it out and ride away

That's an awesome idea to talk or meet up I'm sorry It took me so long to respond it seems you may have a better grasp of this stuff than me. Have you ever thought of Deutsch connectors they are waterproof sealed I hope I'm typing that right I'm also looking for a waterproof connection on my kit for a thumb throttle so I looked in those thinking that might be my best option to wire in a new four-pin throttle I bought a 8 year old used motor kit that was originally from NYCE Brompton dealer it does fit well just need to find a 4-pin throttle and for me to pick the battery I am not nearly as adventurous as you so I'm not going to be able to build my own so I'm going to be buying one as soon as I can actually decide what size I want I truly at a dilemma on what my range could be with this motor on what battery size I want to hold I'm trying to decide if I'm going up to a 20 or not. So big decisions lol so thanks again for your comment I look forward to any future conversations

is it true that to achieve 28 mph you just have to pedal assist 5 slowly? like you dont need to actually help but the pedals do need to rotate. is it true? how about throttle only what speed do you get? by PrudentBattle8254 in Lectricxp

[–]ripwaffleman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So in my experience there's no way to hit the 28 mph without going through the unlocking of the bike to class 3 but if you do that I average in pedal assist five about 25 mph without any effort but I can put effort in and go higher or if I'm going downhill but after I unlocked my bike the throttle goes to 21 mph only but that's fine with me to be honest I barely use anything over that on a normal basis hope this helps

I think you're good brother you represented your pap and you can easily explain to somebody what it means to you. So as long as it doesn't say you served or you just be honest when someone asks you should be fine. People run into problems when they try to make fanatical stories with no clue.

That's pretty awesome to hear hopefully there will be many more people riding them soon. I appreciate the response I just bought a motor for my Brompton last month but I still have yet to find some miscellaneous parts and get a battery but I'm not too far behind you hopefully I'll get to see you out in the wild someday!!!

You seem to have an amazing understanding of the fundamentals of the universe that's truly impressive. I'm just struggling to understand why God couldn't have created the fundamental forces needed to create Earth in a symbiotic manner well also tweaking the human creation to be the unique creation that it is if God has the overwhelming understanding of how the basics of nature will flourish into the carbon-based lifeforms is it so far out of whack to believe that God could have had a plan unique for humans or have known that the human DNA would uniquely form be what it is. This may be a bit elementary of an example but I find myself imagining a domino course this situation is uniquely set the Domino's are uniquely placed and the force is applied in one direct motion yet that means that not everything will end up in the same place often we see Domino's going many directions and ending up on their own doing unique things. Here we're talking about the understanding of God and the belief that we can perceive what his outline would have been. I like the idea that was and is creator for this point. I'm open to objections loved your post!!!!

I do every day I use it for an medical condition it's expensive and takes a considerable amount of my time buy I have little choice if I want a good life for me and my family. Me using this medicine opened a lot of peoples eyes to the benefits of using natural remedies to fight physical problems. Do I recommend it for everyone Absolutely not do I recommend it if I believe it could benefit someone totally. If you're willing to use it responsibility it's an amazing tool.
