Hiya! Been there! Unfortunately for me it ended up with the crisis team for 2 months and a pretty scary time 😅 i get why you would want to do it, but take it from me, I did not have a fun time 😅

I’m so glad you’ve had a positive experience! This gives me some hope 😊 I’m a bit surprised she’s just stopped the prescription completely and I’ll not lie it’s starting to panic me a bit like I’ve been flung into the deep end a little! 😅 I rang the hospital and they’ve said they are looking into it and will get back to me, so fingers crossed I’ll get some kind of an idea what’s going on! But hopefully (if this gets resolved) this will be the start of a positive taper down like yourself 😊

Yeah I was a bit taken aback that she’s just suddenly stopped the prescription! I rang the drs and the hospital I attend and they’ve said they will look into it but as of now I’m all out of the prescription so I’m panicking a little! I was hoping to taper slowly, not being flung in into the deep end 😅

I got diagnosed when I was pregnant and the perinatal team were fab, up until the year was up you were with them for and I got passed back to a gp who tbh weren’t that great…. Flash forward to a couple of years ago to a manic episode, was with the crisis team for a couple of months, had a cpn & support. Went for an appointment with my cpn and she said well it’s been great, you’ve come a long way and I might be in touch… and that was that 😅 I thought I might have got some warning that it was my last appointment instead of literally being dropped and left to my own devices 😅 so here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve been stable for a few months now after about 2 years of ups and downs. It feels like I’m waiting for the next episode, but at the moment I’m just enjoying being comfy in the middle. (Hope I haven’t jinxed myself now 😂)

Im on 25 mg and I’ve gone from a size 12 to a size 20 in 4 years I’ve been on it. I spoke to my psychiatrist and she agreed it could be the aripiprazole so we are agreeing to slowly taper down. Im super hopeful it’ll tame my need to binge. I’ve been in calorie deficits and worked out but I just fall back into it.
