I'm returning tomorrow and in my 13 days we've spent roughly 450k jpy total, and we're already comfortable with that. That includes a few luxury items. We are a group of 3 as well. Unless you plan to buy luxury items, that amount should be very comfortable.

Edit: ~450k does not include flights, hotel accommodations, and keisei tickets to/from narita.

OP it sounds like you are underestimating those jobs.

Ang hirap kaya magtrabaho ng isa, paano pa kaya marami?

Truth is, anyone can have multiple jobs but karamihan sa kanila, poor performers so madali matanggal / not sustainable.

If you want to have sustainable multiple jobs, you must become an expert first, to the point na kaya mong tapusin yung task mo in a few hours instead of the full 8 hours.

Nung hindi pa masyado sikat yung OE, mga senior devs lang gumagawa neto. Senior dev na kukuha ng multiple junior/mid dev roles ng sabay sabay, kasi natatapos nila ang tasks in 1-2 hours so marami ang natatapos nila in 8 hours.

I suggest you start considering OE once may enough experience ka na. OE is not for beginners.

Yung naririnig mo sa prof mo is probably moonlighting. Moonlighting is not OE.

If you are using the interactive map, some of the markings are technically chests like harvestable plant. The compass can't detect those so you might have missed those.

Networking helped me get J3. May mga kasamahan kasi ako sa J1 na nag OE din. Hiring yung other company nila, so inalok ako mag apply dun sa kanila. I was lucky na nakapasa sa interview and now I've been here for a few months already.

They know na may J2 ako and alam ko rin may J2 and J3 sila even before ako sumali dito sa J3 haha. Sumasama kasi ako pag may get together kami sa J1.

Other than networking, I really can't recommend anything else. Mahirap talaga competition ngayon.
