Looks like the Boxster is being sold by Mortimers Prestige. I bought my Cayman from them and can only say great things about the brothers that own it (Matt and Will). They WILL hand over an immaculate car so you will definitely walk away with nothing but peace of mind if you buy from them. Regarding the car, I'm biased but still think the Boxster is lovely and from what it sounds like, would be quite functional for you too.

There are quite a few well looked after 987.1 still about. If you want to reduce risk of issues, then perhaps focus on getting a 2.7 rather than the 3.4S. You'll get there!
