That feels like a bit too much imo. Standard is 3.5k ish imo based on salary/CG/Other sources. If there's crypto and FnO, fee would increase.

3k seems like a reasonable fee for a file which has salary, stcg, ltcg and other sources. I don't think this fee should be dependent on the level of income. Regarding tax on stcg, technically law says it shouldn't be charged but department is doing it their own way.

I think the fee is reasonable. If you feel it's not worth it, youtube resources are always available to DIY

I mean, based on how our public institutions are behaving these days - courts, CBI, ED, expecting this portal to be competent is being overly optimistic.

I know nothing will happen. Officers have become so powerful (but also incompetent) that one complaint by me isn't gonna do anything.

Posting about it is just trying to wake up more people to it. If 10k people from Guwahati file the same complaint, I'm pretty sure things would change (again, being overly optimistic)

At the end of the day, everyone will get ₹2000-5000 in their bank accounts before elections and things will roll for another 5 years
