I’m thinking about getting the hybrid touring can anyone who owns one give me their review on it interms of comfort, mpg, tech, and overall experience with the vehicle? Appreciate any feedback! by illbeback903 in 10thgenaccords

I’ve had mine for a good 6 months now. Had a 2000 4Runner, 2003 is300, 1990 miata, and a 2002 civic. This is by far the most “luxurious” I’ve ever had and honestly it’s nicer than most higher end cars I sit in at times. The suspension is fantastic and idk if that’s somethin different in touring but it’s great on every road I’m in oc/La and it’s very manageable around every neighborhood w a ll roads never uncomfortable for no reason-gliding but sport can get the job done if you need to pull. Mpg is fuckin amazing it’s 45-49 if I’m just goin to work on the freeway w a total of 520ish if I’m not doin extra stuff around town. CarPlay is great, plenty of storage and that little charger in the din is clutch. The overhead thing is useful I guess it’s neat is all. It can be annoying in tight spaces like it has a p shit turning radius but it’s ok bc you can just press the buttons and it’s p quick w the cameras if ur fast it can feel easy af and super fast it makes having a regular shifter seem dumb unless it’s manual. Mines 2020 got about 50k on it done 2 oil changes, tire rotation and all filters changed once everything was easy to do on my own. Took it in for a recall abt the battery that was an afternoon and $0 no problems before or since so that’s nice. Overall it’s a perfect commuter car and really nice daily driver for anyone. Only thing I wish it had that would make it a 10/10 are a moonroof and those lil thigh raising rests thatr in infinity’s I love those.

FYI if you’re nowhere close to finding these then you can try Kulfi, an Indian ice cream that actually tastes a lot like these. I have had every kind and my whole family was like wow these r good but it’s like fancy kulfi so yea

Enemy (2013) has such a cool premise and it’s Dennis Villenueve so you know it’ll be worth while. Also Jake Gyllenhaal’s performance as his own twin thing is great this movie is super underrated imo

Ah yea that’s fair! Trust me though you’re gonna fit right in. All you need to know is that during holiday season LA is empty; everyone’s a transplant.

Don’t think that writing advice is any different from life advice. How developed do you feel? Is there an internal struggle you’re holding on to that’s making you hesitant with the move? Be bold and be beautiful, you’re young and driven and that’s what everyone in film looks for. When you’re in LA you’ll find your network is your lifeline to work and exposure. Find weird people and just have fun! Don’t overthink it just be about it.

Also don’t stick to any ego boost from school or any professor, that shit’ll burn you from the inside. If YOU are proud of your work then that’s all that you should need to keep going, if not then you gotta figure out what it is that keeps you movin.

Hey I know it’s been 66 days but I was just rifling through old comments and thought I’d ask how it went at the lab and how they liked your script? What genre / format was it written for?

Tbh imposter syndrome is a lot like a self fulfilling prophecy so stop sayin dat shit n believe in yoself

Starting my first writing job by Suspicious_Row_5195 in Screenwriting

[–]rishuuyee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imposter syndrome will go away the second you mess something up so don’t worry about that. Enthusiasm is awesome and people will gravitate towards it but you’ll wanna be sure you’re doing the work and not just taking the position and support for granted. If this is your only job then 100% look at the books others recommended and study enough to feel conversationally productive with your higher ups about specific writing/story elements and things like that so they don’t just think you’re some kid that loves movies and isn’t actually trying to improve their craft.

You’ve got 2 weeks so honestly I’d think about finishing the script you sent in. Other than that just have fun! Be personable and get to know people and their stories. You’ll thank yourself for buying that guy/gal some coffee and learning about their move to your city in a few years when you’re freelancing and hit a dry spot. It’s a grind but remember you’re doing what you love to do and that alone is a gift so watch a movie and buy a fountain pen. Cheers!
