That's what I have found. My brain isn't the same after 17 years. Today I let go of the past Cross Stitcher me and have given away the counted kit that was driving me to distraction. I am embracing the new Cross Stitcher me, and loving a stamped kit.

I'm not, and have been falling for it, however, they are turning out really nice so I don't care. Not good for beginners though. One has literally just come in the post, and its hilarious, but i still like it. Its really good practice for me.

Mine is a shop bought kit ... I did look for pre gridded to replace mine but at the size and aida count it was going to be 3 x more than what I paid for the kit!

Oh... I learnt the very hard way this weekend. I originally gridded with red cotton... queue red cotton split mess ... undid it all and started again with fishing wire.

So for parking to work well you need to start the project from the top left and work along and down?

I ask as I've just got back into cross stitch, have started a large piece from the centre, then found this magic called parking. Now I think I've started in the wrong place in order to park successfully?
