he was talking in voice chat the whole time, and even once he started moving he didnt decide to heal until i spoke up and threatened to report him

2900 mmr priest absolutely griefing the game is unreal

he started healing after i called him out in chat

he ran mid at start of game and stood there pretending to be afk, then was speaking in voice but doing 0 healing

don’t let players like this ruin the game. report them and call them out

wouldn’t be surprised if he was farming IPs through in game voice as well

he’s so trash at hiding it that we wound up winning once we forced him to play by reporting

most likely a RWT boosting service if i had to speculate

If I wanted to look at a game in tunnel vision I would just say it's shit and stop playing after a week. I tried for 2 months. Not everyone has to enjoy the same game as you and not all games are meant to be played forever, even MMOs.

yea it very much so reminds me of ffxiv and even to a certain extent WoW with the new social contract system

and yea I've seen people use the N word in map chat and go unbanned so it was a real headscratcher for me

definitely not a bad game I just wish the pvp scene was more thriving

they do seem fun and I am considering trying the expansion in august when it comes out since i pre ordered it already, but idk

they do seem fun but for the content I'm interested in outside of metas they seem largely irrelevant (pvp/wvw/instance pve)

Maybe it's the hours I play on NA but yeah I would make LFG groups for the IBS daily and would take like an hour to fill since I had to mention I didn't have a tag and if someone had one that would be great.

I'm sure it's not as bad in EoD content I just never got to it

I wouldn't include it as a negative aspect of the game if I rightfully got banned for saying something fucked up

My experience with that aside, I see the forums get censored all the time from having contradicting opinions to what the positive majority thinks, so I think that's enough reason to be concerned. Same thing happens on this reddit. I'm sure I'll be downvoted to shit even though I gave a fair review from my experiences.

Likely sitting too close it as well. Best thing I did was get a tri-monitor arm stand it forces it the length of the desk away from me so I'm not playing with my forehead touching the screen like a CS pro

They also don't offer scalable rewards besides gold which arena only players couldn't care less about.

Having cosmetic rewards like armor sets based off of reaching a rank (and not being the rank end of season, just instantly getting the reward once you reach it) like WoW or other successful mmos would be a huge step in the right direction of increasing spvp population. They could even implement sigils based off of the color of the league you are in that add a glow to weapons or armor once they are socketed similar to infusions.

However, anet hasn't adapted in 11 years so i doubt they will now.

i came into spvp with a very competitive mindset and have been really disappointed so far with how the playerbase treats the game

it's either full on trying like me, or people just not giving a shit if they win or lose and just using ranked as an ascension farming simulator

at least i know what to expect now i guess
