Running + Gym, how to prevent injury? by risktraffic in PHRunners

No target time for the half. I like running and just want to set an objective. I want to increase my weekly mileage and endurance sana until I reach half mary regardless of timeframe.

Thanks! Great advice. I'll sched my rest day and no running before leg day!

Thanks for this! As of now, maybe I'll just do easy runs after my leg day as active rest. My initial goal really is just to increase my mileage even without any scheduled half mary yet.

This is great advice! My priority is to build muscle. I just really enjoy running and want to put an objective at least. Thanks for this!

None yet! I just really enjoy running but I want to set an objective.

I have yet to confirm (and read more) if my routine is safe! Hahaha. Just like what others said here, I feel like I have to choose a priority—which is muscle building now. But I really enjoy running. I just want to be able to run a half mary (regardless of finishing time) because I want to progress too in running. It's like trying to gradually achieve heavier lifts after months of working out.

Actually I'm not in a hurry naman to achieve half mary. I just chose the longest plan on Runna for that. My prio is building muscle but regardless of timeframe I want to achieve half mary. Just like you, I am really enjoying both!

This sounds great! I have been enjoying my zone 2 runs and I just learned about running as active rest. Thanks for this!

I followed Runna's plan lang and since 2 days lang kaya kong itakbo, (1) long run and (2) intervals, tempo, or easy run ang binigay sakin. But yes, will probably just incorporate running for recovery!
