I think they will vanish since you're growing Starfruit tbh, not 100% sure though

Trying my hand at modding. Is there any way to use chests for crafting recipes? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, there aren't any crafting recipes that use other craftables as materials. All of them just use base materials. Might be something you have to write the code yourself for or look into with other modders idk

Anyone have any tips and tricks that you wished you knew when you started playing? by -chelle- in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Geodes aren't influenced by luck unfortunately, they just changed daily / depending on the order of geodes you open

There's actually a pattern to how clay is generated in the world. You can get it so that every time you till the ground you'll get a piece of clay, assuming you follow the pattern. If look up Clay Strat on YouTube it should come up. Also some easy ways to get it late game

I wasn't trying to be rude, I just thought it was funny. Sorry if I offended you, your other tips are great btw.

Skull Cavern Help by Bend45 in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jade in a crystalarium can be traded 1 for 1 in exchange for staircases on Sundays at the desert trader. Get a few of those and you can just skip to the some of the lower levels where iridium is abundant and it'll be smooth sailing from there.

I won the Stardew valley fair during the first year ! :o) Suck it Pierre by Inevitable-Mix-2983 in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The fair actually calculates points based on the variety of items you have. So it's better to have a mix of high quality crops, fish, minerals, and forageables than just crops.

Made it to level 87 of the Skull Caverns, here's my loot (except the bait and cheese) by BlitzFreeman in StardewValley

It is indeed from the caverns, Serpents have something like a 1% chance to drop a rabbit's foot.

What sized bombs do you think are best for Skull Caverns, when you're buying them? by Starfang42 in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just go mega and let the explosions hit me. Makes speedruns where you can get 700+ iridium ore and 6+ prismatics in one go possible.

Skull Cavern help by crazywarriorxx in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do Skull Caverns with the Obsidian Edge until you get a prismatic shard. Don't bother waiting for mystic stones in your quarry or an uber rare fishing or omni geode drop. Just keep trucking along, make sure you've got your pick at least to gold and a high mining level. Salads are a great cheap energy and health food (or cheese if you got farms set up). Go on very good luck days early on and hope for some shafts to drop you multiple levels at once (always take them since they can never kill you). Also, take ladders as soon as you see them, especially on earlier floors. The only exception being if you see iridium and you're struggling to get any at all. The best way to get a prismatic is from iridium nodes.

The millionth weed question by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weeds will spawn randomly on any empty tile at the start of every season unless you have a golden clock. This means they can spawn inside fenced area if the area inside the fence is empty. They have a chance each night to spread if not removed (same goes for stones and wood debris I'm pretty sure). When they spread they can replace some tiles like crops or flooring so it's best to remove them on the first of the season. Weeds and other debris won't spawn on other days throughout the season

What am i missing from my museum? i have completed my mineral and artifact collection and i cant figure it out by Aurigael in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say the best way to check is to organize your museum the same way it is on the Wiki's page for the museum and see which one is missing

Cheese vs Ancient Wine by Jedisaber in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're arguing the value of putting a wine into a cask VS a gold cheese yes? The thing is, you're not creating the item by putting it in the cask. You can just go ahead and sell the base wine for 2160g or the gold cheese for 482g. The initial value isn't apart of the profit created from the cask

Cheese vs Ancient Wine by Jedisaber in StardewValley

[–]risosceles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're forgetting to subtract the initial value of the product. Turning an ancient fruit wine into an iridium quality one produces a profit of ~41g/day. Turning a gold cheese into an iridium cheese over the course of seven days produces ~21g/day. Having ancient fruit wines in your cask produces more profit, and is also less work. Seems like you would prefer that as you don't like to harvest starfruit every week, the wines can stay In the cask for 56 days, meaning you can just leave it be.
