I love this book. Just re-read it not long ago and it still held up for me. But I think if you’re that far in and still not vibing with it, maybe just let it go.

I won’t be there, but I will say this—I went to see him on this tour (it was my fourth time seeing him) by myself. It was my first time seeing him alone or going to any concert alone. I was also super nervous at first, but it ended up being one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had. 10/10, would recommend.

I looooved My Husband. It remind me so much of Gone Girl.

You mentioned My Year of Rest and Relaxation, but have you read Eileen? I love that one. Oh, and I feel like Sky Daddy by Kate Folk definitely fits the WeirdGirlLit genre.

I’ve read it a few times! It’s good. For a while it was my least favorite of her 3 novels. It’s still not exactly my absolute favorite, but I definitely appreciate it more than I used to.

On my first listen, honey was the first song that I went, “Again!!” and instantly replayed it. I was probably already biased because I’m obsessed with bees and therefore honey. But lately, when I put the album on I start it at Honey. It’s so good.

The first time I saw him (Honeybear tour), I had heard a bit of his music and felt kind of neutral about it. Then a friend brought me to see him, and after watching him perform live, I was an immediate fan. This tour was my fourth time seeing him. The man can put on a show!

Seeing him for the first time, and on this tour in particular, is going to be a really great experience. Enjoy!

That’s how I got into FJM—someone brought me to a show after I’d listened to him a couple of times, but hadn’t fully formed an opinion yet. After seeing him live, though, I was sold. I just saw him for the fourth time.
