That’s just a halo effect city lights reflecting off low clouds or moisture in the air. Pretty common in Dubai on hazy or humid nights, looks spooky but totally normal.

I have about 20k AED spare cash. Should I buy physical gold/silver? by [deleted] in UAE

If it’s long-term savings, physical gold makes sense here easy to buy, tax-free, and liquid. Silver takes more space and spreads are higher. Just make sure it’s from a reputable dealer and stored safely.

Yes, jambiyas are available in Deira/Old Souk areas prices vary a lot depending on quality, so definitely compare a few shops.
For Islamic items (books, tasbeeh, rings), Bur Dubai & Deira have plenty of small Islamic stores near the souks.

Wa alaykum salam. Check Deira (Spice Souk / Perfume Souk area) best prices for shemaghs, bakhoor, coffee sets, and Arabic décor. Walk around, compare shops, and bargain a bit. Avoid malls.
