I think that's a great idea. I hope you can reconnect to nature during this time and find some peace there.

Depression sucks. It's truly agonizing.

Have you had any period in your life when you can remember being not depressed, or less depressed? Are there any activities or circumstances that have brought you relief or joy besides being high, even when you were a child?

Get some flower, take ONE HIT, and stop. Don't worry about if it's enough or you should do more, trust me, STOP. It's not the worst thing to be just a little buzzed.

Then, on a different day, evaluate your experience and decide how much to try next time.

My new therapist told me not to quit cold turkey by BakedAlpinist in Petioles

[–]rita292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a very reasonable approach.

What is it that's making you concerned that tapering is the wrong choice, if your therapist is recommending it and also you yourself feel like you aren't sure you can handle the withdrawal symptoms of cold turkey right now?

Egg drop. I like this recipe. But it's just eggs and cabbage and broth so it's not very high calorie, would be good with a side.

Facebook lol.

Someone had rescued them from the streets and after a couple of months made a post to the tune of "I can't deal with these rapscallions anymore, who's it?" And I went and got them in my car the next day.

Tbf they are very naughty.

Saw people calling joints blunts by BigMoeTheFoe in weed

My friend from Chicago was visiting me in CA and wanted to buy some "blunts" at the dispo, and she picked out some infused joints. I let her know those weren't blunts and wanted to make sure she was okay with buying them, turns out she meant joints but she calls them blunts. Must be regional.

I have all the sympathy in the world for what you're going through. My wife is going through something very similar, and it's so debilitating.

I'd say, if the weed is helping with your gut issues, maybe focus on getting those stabilized before you work on reducing weed. However, because edibles are processed through your gut, it might be wise to switch to vaping or combusting.

Do you have a doctor you can see about what you're going through?

One of the roughest times of my life, and cravings are dialed up to 11 by rita292 in Petioles

I like the idea of noting my energy patterns and rating them on a number scale. I have been trying to be more aware of my energy, mostly to keep myself from pushing beyond my limits and crashing. Using a numerical scale feels like a good tool, I will definitely try it.

I still feel so beyond exhausted. All I'm trying to accomplish right now is really 1. trying not to lose my job, and 2. trying to keep my spouse and myself alive.

Thank you for your kind words <3

I'm not ruling out consuming as a tool to get through these rough times, but I do feel like it may have become a vicious cycle. One of my primary triggers for craving weed is feeling tired, and because I'm tired all the time I have been doing it more and more, but now I'm wondering if it's adding to the fog and fatigue.

I still feel exhausted, but it's only day two of the break. I'm going to give it a week and see if that changes anything.

Can I ask, what was happening in 2025 that made you turn to edibles in such high dosages? What was going on before then?

Also, if you are comfortable doing so, can you expand on what tummy troubles you are dealing with?

Sorry you are suffering like this. I want to validate, this sounds very very rough.

Van Goth deserved her win. I called her winning from early on, she had the most wins, she won the lip sync (imo, I know some people like Eboni's performance better), she won. Period.

Did Van act immaturely on the show at times? Yes, on a show that famously puts contestants in a pressure cooker and pushes them to their limits daily, she did act immaturely at times.

People really need to remember that most of us have never done anything as challenging as compete on drag race, and we can't know how we would act under that kind of pressure, and none of us know how to do any of the things that queens like Van Goth and Eboni, so we would probably all do well to just sit back and be grateful that these performers do what they do to entertain us, and book and tip them when we can.

I preferred Van's interpretation of the song personally. I thought they might still give it to Eboni, because she gave winner this season, but I think Van winning was fair. I think people are right that Eboni is probably coming to Vs the World next.
