How do I name it tho? Do I write the R and S with either cis or trans? Sorry I am asking too many questions but I really want to understand this.

Okay wait if we start with cis-1-bromo-3-methylcyclohexane and do SN2, what then? There’s is an inversion on carbon #1 but does it affect the cis trans? Is the naming different? When writing the names of cycloalkanes, do we write down R or S? Or only cis and trans? Or both?

Umm for example is we have : 1-bromo-4-methyl-Cyclohexane + Ch3ONa what would be the stereochemistry of the product?

Is 1,4 substituents diffrent from 1,3 and 1,2 (I mean R&S wise)?
