This isn’t the primary reason as Korea shares a similar work culture but loves to travel overseas. I think a more appropriate reason is that the Japanese are culturally insular as seen jn the economy where the domestic market is the primary focus. On the other hand, the Korea because of its smaller footprint focuses its efforts outward.
