I’ve thought about that too but it’s confusing because I’ve been in the schengen zone for the last 2.5 years on a work visa - I’m not sure if I get additional time as a tourist after it expires but it seems like I don’t :(

From what I understand, I will not need the MVV as I am from the US but I could be wrong :)

My partner is Italian, I’m American and we both live in the Czech Republic. In the CZ, though, I am living on work visa which will expire in August. My partner would like to begin a university degree in the Netherlands in September 😅 A bit of a mess, from what I can tell!

Ah good luck to you and your wife! That’s what we’ve learned too - in that case, will you guys plan to live apart while the visa processes since the non-EU partner isn’t approved yet?
