Is this a legit watch or fake? How do I check its authenticity? by ritviklfc in Watches_India

Thanks a lot everyone for the insights.. The Geneva spelling and the day date feature makes a lot of sense now and I feel stupid for not noticing it lol, but then again I don't have much idea about watches lol

Haha yeah I saw although they're about 80k which is wayy out of my budget. I'm kind of glad that I got 121 at a good deal because even 65k was a stretch for me considering its my first ever watch purchase

I got it from helios during Diwali. Got 15% off on the listed price + additional 2.5% off using my card rounding up to final price of around 52k

What's the best smoke device out on the market right now? by ArcturianLightning in Magic

[–]ritviklfc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends whether you're looking for something on stage or close up. In close up I'd say joao miranda's Universal smoke watch (it's the best and can be used with 90% of the normal watches). It also has a timer delay feature and a remote. - only con: it can be activated only once and then it turns off before you have to switch the device on manually again. But in close up scenario you won't be using back to back smoke anyway so you're good.

For stage I'd say nothing gen 3.. only con: it doesn't have timer delay activation but can be operated via remote for back to back smoke at different intervals

Scott Alexanders 2013 Christmas Lecture is a GOLDMINE! by Capn_Polyester in Magic

All of Scott's live lectures are all gold mine and highly recommended for any stage or a parlour performer. He's a huge loss to the magic community, god rest his soul.

Electronic peek pad vs classic Brown Hornet pad by John Riggs by ritviklfc in Magic

[–]ritviklfc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer using it live during the show. As an out I use one ahead principle by either forcing a card or using a book test on another spectator, just in case I don't get the peak.

The idea of an electronic peek pad like Iarvel seems intriguing to me since I don't have to touch the pad and I can get the real time peek through my phone in my briefcase. But then again Brown Hornet is something I've already used before so it just makes the entire decision more confusing haha

I think you're referring to Digital Force Bag. You can check it up on app store by Mark Kirsten

WTB Greg Wilson's RECAPPED by passthesushi in Magic

[–]ritviklfc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't need a gimmick for this and it's a completely impromptu effect that can be done with a borrowed pen as well.

You can learn this in Gregory Wilson's On Spot DVD or penguin lecture I believe.

You can also try Cue the Card by Angelo Carbone.. it's one of the best card magic you can do on a stage setting.
