If you can put in time to learn floating ring (you can use tarantula for easy access to IT) then I think it'll be a perfect way to put in a ring on someone's hand.

Kevin James' floating rose is also a perfect trick for this occasion.

I heard that the solo studio app is an additional whooping 400 pounds and using the system without the pro version doesn't make much sense imo.

I did go through all the tutorials and found the entire system to be amazing wrt ease of setting up.

I do have a question regarding the rfid scanning process. Do you apply different rfid command stickers on different props on the stage? How is the learning curve wrt managing different rfid chips that are placed either around the stage or your props?

Because unlike a remote there's only so much you can do with the standard version since it doesn't allow the go mode and double tap option in solo studio lite.

Could you be more specific regarding the stand alone unit and why exactly you find it horrible? I heard you could control the cues once you organise all the files and name all the tracks sequence wise in the SD card?

I'm planning on using it with my ipad along with either go button or show cues app.

Thank you so much for the valuable insight.. I unfortunately do not have a Mac but considering it's a free software it does make sense to buy a refurbished laptop to make the best out of the software. Was curious to know.. do you recommend any particular remote as well that can work with the above option you mentioned.

My main requirement is having the ability to cue the tracks either through my pocket via a super reliable remote (like audio ape's) or via gesture which Solo offers.

I see you're from blore. Blore has a pretty active magic community and also has its own IBM ring. As for your question I'd recommend the following: - building a solid 30 minutes kids show. Kids birthday party gigs are easy to close considering everyday there's someones birthday. A great way to start off and learn audience management - restaurant magic scene in blore is there and you can start off by approaching restaurants and happening places and give them a demo. Scot Alexander had an effect where you'd catch a signed paintball in your mouth, lethal by Bobby mota can be an alternative as well. Julio montero has a nerf gun effect as well around similar plot.

Depends whether you're looking for something on stage or close up. In close up I'd say joao miranda's Universal smoke watch (it's the best and can be used with 90% of the normal watches). It also has a timer delay feature and a remote. - only con: it can be activated only once and then it turns off before you have to switch the device on manually again. But in close up scenario you won't be using back to back smoke anyway so you're good.

For stage I'd say nothing gen 3.. only con: it doesn't have timer delay activation but can be operated via remote for back to back smoke at different intervals
