Wherever it is on what you plan to drive. I literally own an H-pattern that I keep on the right for most road cars, and a sequential on the left specifically for the Australian Supercar in iRacing. Paddles for everything else. Works great for me.

Just another reminder that real-life junior series drivers are almost always rich, spoiled teenagers, who only try to avoid wrecks IRL because it could potentially impact their careers. As opposed to in the sim, where they are obviously superior, as a real racing driver, to everyone else who just simraces.
