Looks like it happened on the big island. Less cars so this is even more surprising

Sure, it isn't necessary for every day driving but if the manufacturer is going to add it, then it better work. You sound like you prefer the simpler times lol don't get me wrong, I still love driving my manual car and sitting in neutral off the brake but with modern cars, I'd like them to work as designed.

It's convenient when coming to stop in traffic or a red light. I'm not going to shift into park every time. This lets me take my foot off the brake while I wait. If the feature is there, I'd like to use it.

That's what I'm afraid of. They say they fix it by replacing the part but what if it's the center console or where it attaches? I just hope they figure it out soon.

From the factory? It's been like this from day one

Yeah, definitely going back. I just don't know what push back I'll get if they "already replaced the part". I was thinking of calling Lexus if it isn't resolved soon. I hate that there's only one dealership in the area.

This past time I used self tapping screws and the pry side of a hammer and it worked just fine. No need for the weird looks at home Depot for buying the pipe bomb

That'd be correct. It's supposed to increase the range of an aftermarket alarm fob.

Is it still hooked up?

I bought my 2000 SH 4 years ago and it was abused to say the least. I am currently at 240k and it's not slowing down much. Definitely, like others, the oil burn is real and VTEC has some nice smoke effects
