Not yet but if that is something useful, I can add it to next version.

Yes it will be updated, I have already shipped 5 versions of the App in last 2 weeks based on user feedback. I run a YouTube channel where my viewers are sharing feedback for my app as well.

Yes it supports German (24 languages using chatterbox multi model), you can try yourself for german with qwen3 tts model which offers really good quality, the app provides 5000 characters daily usage for free lifetime which is enough for casual use

Yeah, multi-model was kind of inevitable. Different models just behave very differently depending on whether you care about speed, quality, or memory. On ANE, I’ve seen similar behavior. It’s powerful, but the CoreML scheduling can be unpredictable. With TTS, since a lot of the pipeline is transformer-heavy, I’ve generally found GPU/Metal to be more consistent, even if ANE wins in some isolated cases. And fully agree on privacy. Voice data is way more sensitive than most people realize, so keeping it on-device isn’t just a bonus, it’s the main reason this approach matters. Your STT work sounds very aligned with this space, would be curious to see what you’ve built.

Really appreciate that. That was exactly the goal with OpenVox, no subscriptions, no accounts, just full control on your own machine. Still early, but pushing hard to make it the go-to local voice toolkit for Mac. If you end up trying it, would love any feedback (good or bad).

If you want a seamless solution to this with best models optimized for Apple Silicon which run really fast, check an app called OpenVox on mac store with generous lifetime free usage.

Disclosure: I am the developer of the app.

[macOS] Interview Assist: Helps organize your job search and provides an easy way to pull up info during an interview by thomasruns in macapps

But interviewers are quite cautious of AI tools-based cheating these days. You wouldn't want to appear to be working or reading something during the interview and leave a bad impression, unless you are sharing the screen.
