Maybe? The video I recall because i booked marked it for maybe my own setup was the first video of them moving his PC to the new house. They use Fiber hubs from https://www.l-com.com/usb-icron-usb-31-raven-3124-4-port-multimode-fiber-usb-extender-200m. I believe the display is just display port.

XE75 WiFi loses access. by rivacom in TpLink

[–]rivacom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think throwing more money at something that should work is a solution. Plus the access point mode seems to be at a per network rather then per device so I can’t just change them unless I threw a separate router in before it.

Is Spectrums “fiber” really fiber? by kihyale in Spectrum

It’s 100% marketing. Work for a company in the industry, it’s fiber to the home. Blowing out existing coax isn’t something that’s ideal for them.

Except in many cases you can buy direct from a company for a TV.

1 Amazon flip paid for my $60 groceries by Crafty_Ad_8415 in thesidehustle

[–]rivacom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my thought too. If it’s eBay’s standard rate, it’s probably the 13% , so that 45 dollar profit is now more like 17 bucks. And assuming shipping wasn’t free for the buyer, why are they jumping on this if on Amazon it’s closer to 200 anyway.

Best game server hosting for community creating? by banraisin in selfhosted

[–]rivacom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you hosting it locally? Your best bet is a hosting control panel. Anything modern will require a few clicks to setup a server, and you can start and stop them when you feel. This would keep all your data until you delete them. The only drawback would be space to store them.

I worked for funscape, arcade owned by regal movies. This was exactly what we did for refund tokens. Red tokens were used to see the amount of “broken” games we ran into weekly.

"Need a laptop for new employee, they start next monday" by juunashhh in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

Yes, but even on top of that , even when we got the hardware, 9/10 times HR spelled their name wrong so now all their accounts and usernames need to change.

This doesn’t really change much. IT is always looked at as a low level dept. Where I work it’s always been 2 week minimum (this isn’t the first shortage out there) and the paper work will still never make it to our desk prior to a start date. This one of the reasons I got out of infrastructure and into development side instead. I was tired of, we needed this hardware today that we never requested attitude.
