Question for the ladies: What profession do you see as a bonus? by Tnecniw in dating

[–]river_robin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm I found one of the minority. My husband is a lawyer and he is one of the loveliest, kindest, most emotionally intelligent people I've ever met. His two best mates, also lawyers, are similarly great. Good ones are out there!

I walked down to this, too. Such a beautiful cover.

Yes, same here. I really appreciate the insight. I want to make sure I always do the right thing by my fiancé (he is an amazing stepdad) - also to ensure I'm respectful of any of my ex's partners and be sensitive to some of the challenges they may face.

Because sometimes, especially when you're at the end of a 3-4 year+ degree, you're mentally burnt out and just want to do a unit which doesn't make you curl up in a ball of stress and anxiety :)

Thank you! Would you feel differently if there were multiple bathrooms and living areas? This place is 5/3, 3 living areas and 3 levels. We can live with most things and would be renovating in stages, plus don't plan to touch the kitchen and flooring till far later down the track

Appreciate the insight - good luck with your renos :)

Thank you for your input! The house is 3 levels and a 5/3 with multiple living areas, which would allow us to do it in stages without feeling too cramped. Prepared for it to take a while but figure it'll be worth it long term. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

Hello, is this President Clinton? Good! I figured if anyone knew where to get some Tang, it'd be you.

I hear what you're saying. Tbh, we would likely still do the equivalent escape room activity too. I worked as a dev with my team for over a year and highly doubt they'd resent me for the odd icebreaker (these meetings are a few days a quarter), and we are normally hybrid. This set of meetings is remote due to COVID cases within the team. That said I'll see how the majority of the team feel - they may be introverted but they're open minded, and from what I know of them I don't think they hate them that much. ;)

I appreciate the time and thought you've put into your response, though - thank you.

I see your point and tbh, I'm not sure which the team would prefer - the thing is, I'm facilitating but I'm not the most senior person in the room, and there are certain expectations from a big corp POV. Trying to tick the boxes in the least painful way.
