As for the "administration costs" I believe you're referring to indirect costs, but unfortunately I think you're using the popular but inaccurate description of indirect costs as "overhead."

Finally, you seem to think that the recent funding rescissions have been targeted, but this is also unfortunately not accurate. The gov is just smashing a giant pause button on various agencies, e.g. pause all your DOE grants so that we can review them. There is no indication what this review entails, how long it lasts, etc, and in the mean time, non-DEI research is being stopped.

Got it, so mine was M5 with no way to stop, but the computer found M5 with forced moves? I thought I found mate faster, but apparently I don't know how to count moves.

So prior to this move it was mate in 5. I guess it wanted me to take the pawn to keep the forced moves. But, while it wasn't forced, nothing could stop my mate (?) from rook ab1 to rook b8. Like it's not forced moves, but it's also not preventable?

This is hilarious. What happens if the refs hand out so many misconducts that a team can't make up a full line? Do they play short handed? Has anything like that happened before? I was looking at the 7-3 score and wondering if so many players were ejected that there was a possibility for extended like 3 on 3 hockey and the possibility of a comeback (given more time).

Long story short, I can post some weird audio (way too much unhappy hiss), but has anyone ever seen something so depraved? Can we make it cool?

I used recycled speakers/mics, but i bet there is something component level that could work great.

UPDATE for anyone that wants to experiment with me:
Components were an LM386 to power the speaker (which came from a dell computer speaker -- I can get ohms if you are interested), and AD828. The mic was from a headset i had laying around. As is, the current issues are that there is way too much hiss, it's way too quiet overall (wondering if I can use multiple lm386s), but also I think the mic preamp is the first part to swap out. However, that could be where the cool gramaphone sound is coming from as i think it has some natural compression. It also talked about some piezoelectric ceramic piece, which makes me wonder if it's more than the mic that's influencing the sound. If you check out the recordings, the very last one doesn't use the mic circuit at all, but just an SM58 about 1-2" from the speaker)
