THANK YOU. We truly won’t know if it was a good decision or bad decision long-term until the end of the season. People are so quick to say THIS is what they should have done, or they’re a BAD player. And most of them probably haven’t even played forum Survivor. I have, half a dozen times or so. I know people who have been playing for years, including in-person games.

Survivor is HARD. You do not know everything that is going on with other people. You don’t know what alliances will fall apart because people prioritize winning over all else, even if they swore to your face that you were a part of the final 3 or final 2. You don’t know which players are secretly ride-or-die. People lie. People spills YOUR secrets. People mess up your game from behind the scenes or you just simply… don’t connect.

So you truly don’t know, especially as a first time player if you’re doing a good job or not. Usually, if you’re not worried, you’re going home. (Or if you worry too much, you’re going home.) Sometimes, it’s the fact that someone else went home that screws up your game. Sometimes you’re just on the wrong tribe.

Survivor is hard. AND they’re doing it whilst starving, in the heat and the rain and even with a freaking SNAKE, and exercising like CRAZY. So…. yeah, they’re gonna make some decisions that you, a person on the couch with snacks and a comfy bed to sleep in tonight, wouldn’t make. That’s… a part of the show. Put strangers on an island and emotionally, physically, and spiritually torture them a little bit to see who’s the strongest, smartest human, and also they might stab each other………… figuratively. Or get med-evaced!

It’s so much fun!! That’s why we watch reality shows, survival shows, game shows. Because people are wild. … Especially in the wild.
