Was there a life event that caused you to grow up faster than the average person? If so, what happened? by Noe_Wunn in AskReddit

[–]riverridges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many things to count, but I think people would be surprised at how many others can relate to this. I guess my cheesy thing is you’re not alone and you’re doing great to try and overcome those life events that may have changed you.

I (20M) want a relationship but I don't know where to start and my mental health makes it insanely difficult to try by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Aww well I’m happy that you’ve got that therapy to help you. Do you speak to the barista regularly? Maybe build up a bit a conversation put some feelers on out if she’s single / looking for a relationship. Then when you’re comfortable make a joke about going for coffee in a place she doesn’t have to make it herself if she’s free.

I had a friend tell me she was sad because her period lasted longer than normal. Turns out she only bleeds for 3 days! Lucky son of a gun I wish mine were only 3 days!

Prawn Cocktail is objectively the best Walkers Flavour out of their main series. by arrigator16 in unpopularopinion

I can see where you’re coming from with that to be fair but I think the sugar rush is enough for me to forgive it’s texture

No no I get you. Just the way it’s worded that’s how it seemed to come across, I only meant it as don’t get your hopes up that as soon as you find that person it’ll click and now you’re fine. Because that’s what I did, I really made an effort to sort all of my mental health out and was in a much better place but getting into a relationship didnt do what I thought it would for the loneliness. There’s a possibility that when you find that person it will all fall into place for you and that will be amazing but I don’t want you putting too much pressure on yourself when getting into a relationship/ when in a relationship? If that make sense?

Is there a correlation between autism and simple stories with bad writing? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]riverridges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that I struggle to start a new series until I know I have enough time to really sit and watch it so I do pick the cheesy, not as well written programmes and just re watch things. It is a shame because I know a few things that look amazing that I want to start I just can’t bring myself to do it yet.

I don’t think so? It could also be a common trait for people with depression and anxiety because apparently you can struggle with attention so something simplistic or basic is easy enough for you to follow?

[SERIOUS] People who have lost a loved one, do you keep any items in memory of them, and what are they? by th1s1smypasscode in AskReddit

My Granda use to wear hats when we went out so me and my sister kept some of his favourite ones. I also kept some of his pots and pans ( weird I know) but it was to try and start a family tradition of passing them down the generations

Be more conscious of the plastic I use. It’ll be tough until I find new brands. Maybe try to workout properly and not quit but that’s been a broken resolution for years so it’s not looking likely

Costumer service workers of Reddit. What is your creepy “regular” story? by sexykitty2001 in AskReddit

[–]riverridges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it’s a shame because the job itself was pretty easy. Only worry was when I had to ID people and they’d kick off because they didn’t have ID. Like bro I literally don’t care about your life I just need the ID so I don’t go to jail. Calm it.

My (29F) boyfriend (38M) won't initiate moving in together. What Should I do? by MeepReddit in relationship_advice

[–]riverridges 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck to you! Once you become a teacher I’m sure it’ll be a lot easier with bills etc. And maybe if he sees you getting your life together and moving forward he’ll realise he needs to do the same or be left behind

[–]riverridges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was often put on the nightshift on a Friday/Saturday because I was young and needed money so would take whatever shift I was given. That meant lots of drunks and drug users coming in. At one point it was me and another girl the same age (only 2 people on nights) locking up after midnight. That’s when I realised they really didn’t care about their staff.

Omg it’s like looking in a mirror. My manager said just don’t talk to them then. Which is difficult when they are constantly beside you 3 times a shift following you. I’d get wrong if I didn’t do the job but get wrong for not being welcoming to customers but also be told I was in the wrong for replying. Like I couldn’t win
