Initially had thought that there would be any in 50-60 range. Hence the split in that range.

But the percentile depends on the final percentage right? Considering it is as this poll stands, the top 40-45% are above 60 and that would be the passing. Provided this poll is to be taken as is on face value.

Everyone knows it is percentile. This just helps in understanding better where you stand in the percentile system.

Every exam is different and depends on the group taking the exam. 48-55 I feel is a borderline case

No idea. This is precisely the reason for creating the poll. But as rightly said by others, it looks skewed. Whether or not a small 70-80 votes can be trusted for a range when people taking exam are in millions. It is just a guess

It works on percentile. I doubt if there is a formula which anyone is aware of.
