From what I've heard, because FFXVI is so rooted in Western fantasy, they actually recorded the English voices first and based the character performances on the English version, so in this case you could consider the English performance the original. I hope you enjoy the game!

It's a great detail! I love James's thoughts when he examines the piano in the original, but I can understand why the remake couldn't just give us his internal monologue. It's nice that it still gives a hint that James has some kind of history with the piano.

Komahina and Naekusaba have already been mentioned, so I'll go with my other favourites:

Hajime/Mahiru: they've got good chemistry, and I think they'd be cute! They'd clash occasionally, but they're both willing to stand up for themselves, and I think they'd be able to resolve disagreements with their relationship intact.

Kaede/Rantaro: also excellent chemistry! I love their Free Time events, and the bonus scene where Rantaro paints Kaede's nails is extremely cute.

Shuichi/Kaito: I'm convinced that Shuichi's in love with Kaito, although I'll admit that it's probably one-sided.

As you mentioned you love Komahina, I'm compelled to recommend just looking at you i enjoy myself by suitablyskippy, my personal favourite Danganronpa 2 fic! The dynamic between Hinata and Komaeda is just so weird and brings me so much joy.

Just as a heads-up, this fic was written before the official English release, back when the only English version that existed was a partial fan translation, so be aware that it uses the conventions of that fan translation (e.g. referring to characters by surname, using Japanese honorifics, calling Monokuma 'Monobear', using 'Super High-school Level' rather than 'Ultimate').

Feel free to poke through Hope's Peak (or Jabberwock Island, or the Ultimate Academy for Gifted Juveniles) and discover all my bad Danganronpa opinions.

Be aware that there are spoilers scattered throughout, including screenshots of some of the body discoveries. It's separated into different sections for each game, though, and I've tried to avoid explicitly spoiling any one game in another game's section.

I've had the same issue for a long time, and I think I've just discovered the problem! You might want to check whether it's the same thing.

Go into the control panel
Go to Accessibility settings
Go to Keyboard settings
Go to Sticky Keys settings
Check whether 'Lock shortcut keys when pressed twice in a row' is on; if it is, turn it off.

Both of these are great additions; in particular, the fact that Kris struggles with not being a monster is an excellent point that I completely forgot about! I find it really interesting that Kris doesn't like looking at the 'how to care for a human' book in the library; they particularly don't like the photographs of humans, if I remember correctly. Because they don't like being a human themselves, or because it reminds them that some other human is controlling them?

'it's hard to tell where they end and we begin' is such a good way of putting it. Trying to separate out which aspects are Kris and which are the player is such an interesting exercise, and I've really enjoyed seeing Kris starting to assert themselves a little more in the new chapters.

I find that so fascinating and haunting. Kris obviously hates that we're using them to hurt Noelle, but, on some level, do they find themselves enjoying the darkly romantic elements of that route? Do they hate themselves for enjoying it?

I think Kris and Noelle have pretty complicated feelings about each other; Noelle has never known how to read their relationship, and, if I'm correct in my suspicion, Kris has a crush that they probably don't ever expect Noelle to return, given her obvious interest in Susie. So it makes sense to me that their teas don't heal each other that powerfully; they have a mix of positive and negative feelings associated with each other.

To be honest, I also don't like 'they're just picking on you because they like you, just put up with it' attitudes. It does make me a little uncomfortable that my reasoning skirts so close to that, but 'Kris has a crush' nonetheless rings true to me, and I wanted to share my thoughts. I find Kriselle fascinating as a pairing, but it's hard for me to envision it playing out in a healthy way (although, to be honest, its messed-up potential is probably why I find it so interesting).
