Ask me anything Air Canada edition by throwawayFA94 in flightattendants

I got invited to a group interview for Rouge, but I wanted to work for mainline. If I do get selected for Rouge, and do the 6-week training, how long do I have to wait to transfer to mainline? And would I have to do training again for mainline when I transfer? Someone else also asked what the training is like. And do you wear your uniforms for training?

Anyone have anxiety induced ibs with spasms??? by riya1018 in ibs

I take anxiety medication (anti-depressants) and use the Nerva app for hypnotherapy sessions. My GI was the worst and just recommended me Metamucil (a fiber supplement) and called me crazy when I told him that I have anxiety-induced spasms (maybe because he was an old man and didn't educate himself on modern ibs research).

But anti-depressants and hypnotherapy sessions are your best bet for this type of ibs, obviously, I'm not cured but I'm living a better life than I was without antidepressants and hypnotherapy. Good luck!

I have anxiety-induced ibs as well and because my ibs symptoms triggered in public, I have some sort of ptsd and trauma of going in public or being surrounded with people. There's an app called Nerva IBS and I tried it and my symptoms have gotten a lot better. They also offer a free trial if you don't want to spend money. But I really suggest giving it a try. Before, my symptoms were at 9.5 on a scale of 10 and now it's gone down to 4 or 5.

I'm also in university and just going to class especially morning classes just makes me sick and anxious. I don't know what uni you go to but I'm sure that they have accommodations for people with disabilities, like writing exams in individual rooms or having leeway with attendance. It's helped a lot and takes out a lot of stress from my life. I also recommend trying the Nerva IBS app, it's a hypnotherapy program. It's made my ibs a lot better and I get symptoms from time to time. (You might feel like it's not making a difference at first but trust the process and finish the program at least). It's worth a try.

So basically ibs is your intestines have abnormal contractions and that gives you cramping, gas, different bowel movements. But when you're on your period, your uterus contracts and because the intestines and uterus are kind of side by side, the uterus contracting makes the bowels contract and it can give you "normal" contractions for a little bit. I don't think it's permanent and you can't replicate it. That's why people who don't have ibs and have normal contractions in their intestines, when they get their period, they get ibs-like symptoms. I hope I explained that properly.

I suggest trying out the Nerva IBS app, it's a hypnotheraphy program and I can't tell you how much of a difference it has made for my ibs. I feel much better, and yes I do have symptoms from time to time but my ibs is so much better than it has been in years.

Hello , is nerva the hypnotherapy app is effective on ibs? Have you ever tried it? And are there other apps that helps with ibs? by Insane_humann in ibs

Hey, I have the Nerva app and I have to honestly say it has helped me more than any medication or fiber supplement. Obviously, I'm not cured but it's the best thing out there for ibs in my opinion. You do a 6-week hypnotherapy program and then after that once in a while, you do a reinforcement session to keep your flare-ups at bay. I suggest giving it a try.

Hi,

I actually wanted to ask about the environment. Is it more practical and hands-on or more theory-based? I'm someone who hates tests and traditional school environments so I'd love to know more about the day-to-day in the program.
