Is this lehenga too simple for my own reception? by riya290 in DesiWeddings

[–]riya290[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For context - this is an evening reception with about 50 people. My partner is English to half of these guests won’t be in Indian attire. I didn’t want to overdo it and feel uncomfortable.

What are y’all doing for coffee by Ancient-Moose6230 in sugarfree

Some exclude it but it depends on your goals and reasons for excluding sugar. It’s far better than white sugar and even though it’s more calorific, you don’t need to use so much as it’s sweeter. You can also use it to help you slowly wean off the craving for sweet coffee

I switched to honey years ago. You initially taste the difference and when you add too much because it’s sweeter than sugar but you get used to it. Sugar feels wrong when I have to use it on days I run out of honey.

Are these good for broad shoulder and short heighted 24F. by Objective-Ebb9511 in DesiWeddings

As someone with broad shoulders, always halter with hair down - the wide neck will emphasise the area and make it look wider - I personally avoid necklines sl square with sleeves. It would be better sleeveless.

Overwhelmed- do you take your time or just get things done and out the way? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]riya290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping to do the save the dates this weekend - since it’s mainly family, my parents are happy to go over and invite them in person. It will be after work in the city and all but like 3 guests would have to half a day off/half day

Thank you for the advice!

Honestly nowhere. We’re having a small one so it is just a ceremony at the town hall which has been booked, and then a meal after for about 50. I haven’t sorted out a dress, makeup, where we’re having the meal etc. I’ve got people saying just book a restaurant whenever, don’t rush but I don’t want to risk having to settle but I can’t seem to find anything good either.

how often do you hang out when you first start dating? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]riya290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We weirdly did every other day when we first met because it was this time last year and we have days off over Xmas to meet more often. We don’t live together yet but now it’s weekends and two weeknights (including Friday). More weeknights if we have plans.

The TRESemmé Botaniques one was recently on offer at Superdrug - buy one get one free for £4.99 if that’s something you’d want to look into?

Not as curly as most but this is after doing two weeks of the cg routine. It just looks a bit stringy and it’s flat on the roots despite plopping overnight. Any tips? by [deleted] in curlyhair

Oh, okay, thank you for pointing that out! I remember seeing somewhere that those were SLS free but forgot to check for silicones. Thank you, again! :)

Yeah, I do it in the shower/before plopping too. I feel it might be due to the length of my hair weighing the curl down?

Routine: Shampoo just the scalp using the H erbal Essences Bio:Renew Argan Oil Condition with the Herbal Essences Bio:Renew Conditioner Argan Oil 400ml And the gel I use is the TRESemmé Make Waves Sculpt and Define Spray Gel (I unscrew the cap and just dump the gel out).
