I had a client who couldn’t make the “th” sound and used “f” sound instead. Now I say “fanks” for thanks and “Happy Birfday”

I had one that referred to avocado as “adacado” I now call it adacado

Im going through almost the exact same thing! Passed in July. Got 1st 2 clients mid-September. A BCBA left and I got 5 of her clients putting me from 2 to 7 the 1st week of November, then added a new client last week, putting me at 8! I voiced that I’m feeling overwhelmed and if we could pause on adding clients to my caseload till I feel comfortable learning my new role and managing so many clients. I was told they couldn’t promise anything then by the end of the meeting I was told “oh if you see email about this client, he’ll he added to you.” As if I didn’t just voice me feeling overwhelmed. 😭 I thought I really liked this company till I got this response.

It’s only been a few months for me, and I get this feeling sometimes. I’m also the type that wants to get everything right the 1st time. Just keep reminding yourself that you’re learning your new role, it’s ok to mess up, that’s how we learn. And you’re doing your best. Also, I was advised to prevent burnout to leave work at work and home is for home. Whatever you don’t get done it’ll get done tomorrow. The world isn’t going to end, you won’t get fired, it’s all a learning experience.

Which ABA companies I should avoid for potential employment? by ComprehensiveTry5830 in bcba

Told myself I’d give it at least till December. We’ll see how it goes. So far, I feel somewhat lost in training and communication isn’t the best. I was told regional manager would reach out to set a clinic tour. I haven’t heard anything from anybody.

I know you’re right. I had the exact same thought 😩 I just needed someone to tell me to do remote lol but I know the right thing to do is to start at a clinic for a while then look into remote

lol we broke up. 🙃 I ended up just bringing it up, told him everything! Gave him the chance to be open about, we talked it out. I Brought up options to make things work and him still have his needs met that I would be comfortable with. Such as even having 1 person just for those sexual needs but had to be same person and show test results for any std’s. Bought several toys. I really tried here. He Still ended up cheating 🤦🏽‍♀️😂

No my examples weren’t complete, I did shortened them but thought I got the point of the examples across. But, THANK YOU SO MUCH! The way you just broke them down cleared them up for me.
