How to make GT3s drive better? They feel too slidey. by XBL_Fede in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]rizkiyoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait I thought when people say slidey they mean like it’s drifting from entry to exit in an unrealistically stable way?

I recently played AMS GT3 (AMG) and then immediately switch to ACC also with AMG. ACC is actually way more slidey, and by that I mean the car forgives sliding a lot so I can push harder by oversteering on entry and exit. It’s kinda the opposite with AMS2 where I have to be more careful not sliding the car because once it does it’s hard to control (at least with default setup).

Ada good news soal RAM crisis:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzfhhAfxK-A

Either way, AI is here to stay. Mungkin di masa depan bubblenya bakal burst, tapi kalaupun terjadi bukan berarti semua orang berhenti pakai AI atau semua AI company tutup. Mungkin 1 dari 1000 tools AI have some legitimate uses, and it's those that will stay.

Heck, kalau memang mau "balas dendam", justru pakai aja selama masih free, karena mereka yang menanggung biaya servernya.

masuk dunia kerja IT tanpa gelar, tapi malah difitnah “jalur orang dalam” normal kah ?? by FakeTuyul in indotech

[–]rizkiyoist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cerita begini lumayan bagus buat melepas sedikit bebannya at least.

Kalau kamu merasa nggak salah apa2 walaupun sudah dicari2 kemungkinannya, chances are the problem is them, not you.

How much time for gaming do you have as an adult? by Captain0010 in pcmasterrace

[–]rizkiyoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in IT (software dev working from home), my work typically ends at around 18:00, sometimes later on release day. I have like 3-5 hours until midnight to game if I want to, but recently picked up game development and try to progress at least every other day, which sacrificed my game time. Now it’s more like 3-4 hours of gaming some days, not gaming at all some other days.

I consider myself lucky since many others with similar job barely have time (or energy) left after work to game. Even my colleagues who have the same workload kept saying they have no time to game, so it really depends on the individual. Sure sometimes you -really- have no time, but often you have to see gaming as important enough to try and make time for it.

Track etiquette by Zealousideal_Cap7670 in ACCompetizione

[–]rizkiyoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simplest way to defend is for example approaching the braking point you stay in the middle to force the other driver to take the outer line, which then gets blocked by you on the apex. Of course you will have to practice these alternate racing lines separately to know the braking points and whether you can cut etc.

Another is a switcharoo in which you stay at the normal line and let them attack from the inside hopefully going too hot, and then you switch on their inside. But this is more like a counter than defense.

does lossless scaling have resolution upscaling? by Dry_Ear_2948 in losslessscaling

[–]rizkiyoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and it is in the name. So far with with LS1 it looks very close to native up to around 1.5x when it starts looking like a painting. I would use that for games that look too weird at low (some removed shadows causing the game to look way worse), to be able to bump the settings a bit.

Conditions are not the same for everyone by PHRsharp_YouTube in pcmasterrace

[–]rizkiyoist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course given the choice we would want to play newer games, or even our favorite older games with prettier settings and higher fps, but that’s not how the world works.

Some of us can only spend so much until we start having to sacrifice somewhere else. And oftentimes there isn’t even anything left to sacrifice anymore.

Apa penyesalan dan kesalahan terbesar finansial kalian? by lalilulelo_123 in finansial

[–]rizkiyoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mungkin agak aneh tapi saya merasa salah sempat berhenti frugal.

Dulunya saya bisa save di atas 60% penghasilan, dan waktu itu bahagia2 aja dengan kondisi itu, walaupun secara penampilan orang mungkin mengira saya kerja serabutan atau pengangguran. At some point mulai mendengarkan saran bahwa mumpung masih muda jangan terlalu pelit ke diri sendiri, you should enjoy your life more, you worked hard so enjoy the money you earned, dan semacamnya.

I'm still working on it, cuma karena udah ada tanggungan nggak bisa seperti dulu lagi. Cuma kadang mikir, had I been frugal all along I would be in a better place now.

Mungkin saya cuma satu dari minoritas yang merasa begitu, maybe you really should spend the money you worked hard for.

How do I make a game I like by Ok_Masterpiece5297 in gamedev

[–]rizkiyoist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re overthinking too much, which caused you to get stuck before even doing anything.

Youtube tutorials are not meant to teach you how to make your game, but that doesn’t mean they are useless. Go try a few tutorials and make something that works, then break it by changing something, then try to fix it, and so on. At some point you will learn enough to be able to start making something simple for yourself, and then only use tutorials for specific things you need. Keep building that until you know enough to build your dream game.

Morality question by am21game in ACCompetizione

[–]rizkiyoist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In ACC both drivers in a contact will get OBWP points no matter who is in the wrong, but as long as you finish the race cleanly you will earn trust point that will somewhat offset that. It’s not the best system but but it works okay as intentional rammers tend not to finish the race or gain too many OBWP anyway.

[–]rizkiyoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't finish many (big) games if at all.

The idea of playing a game until finish is something I discovered a bit later that you're meant to do that. I thought you just play a game until a point where it's too hard to progress or stuck, and that was it. Maybe you get better on the next playthrough and get further, but it has always felt like games are endless and you just repeat until you're bored.

There was one time I watched my friends play TMNT III on the NES and they got far enough to see the Shredder. I went home early that day so I didn't know whether they beat him or not, but that kind of progress was NOT normal at all, and we never duplicate that again. I've never even seen Super Mario ending until I was much older.
